It's been quite the busy week for JC, what with Y2K and apocalypse hysteria to deal with. Provided His Second Coming has been delayed indefinitely, Jesus will be taking some time off and relaxing this week, perhaps celebrating New Year's Eve at First Night 2000. The non-alcoholic family-oriented downtown party features a balloon glow, bluegrass and rock bands, face painting, mask making, storytelling, music, dancing and theater plus many more activities for kids and grown-ups alike. Buttons for admission are $5-$7 and are sold at all King Soopers and Norwest Bank locations. Young'uns under 5 are free. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. Call 632-7490 for more.
