Horrific. They remove palliative care as soon as patient is classified as Hospice. They answer to the state and NOT to the patient. One or two good employees. Mostly afraid of medical mal-practice. Really VERY un-spiritual. Do not care about patients AT ALL.
Our next photo shoot is on April 1st at 7pm and the theme is "Steampunk" Should be awesome!
Charming and entertaining.
Oops, my mistake. It looks exactly like Caitlin Goebel's painting style. Sorry about that.
Nope, we had it right the first time. I saw it with Josh Kennard and curator Abigail Kreuser tonight.
Thanks Eric H. We've updated the listing with the correct information.
Image credit for the painting that illustrates this article should be given to the artist Caitlin Goebel.
In that photo: You may have seen those creatures before in Lord of the Rings!
This band ROCKED IT!!!
Amazing staff and a fantastic venue!
True I don't know the whole story.... But, my first reaction is as follows: So sad that this and GalaxyFest are on the exact same dates.... It's not like there are just so many "local sub-culture" opportunities and events that they need to be in direct conflict and cut-throat competition to prove one is better than the other. If I could- I would support them both and love them both equally - - When I'm forced to choose between one or the other everyone loses out!! The supporting community, the individuals, the event, the vendors, the hosts, ect.... Its bad business practice, business sense, and bad public relations. These event opportunities are too precious and wonderful to be caught-up in a pissing match for the audience's attention. I hope I just don't have the right info, and correct me if I'm wrong, But I hope this is NOT an example of how things are done in the future. We should NEVER have to choose between events that support and share a common interest and purpose. The audience won't respond well to being in the middle of a tug-o-war for attention and recognition. We love and want you both. I sincerely hope this is a mistake and everyone can play nice, be friendly, and come to a better play-date arrangement. This simply won’t do. I want my cake and to eat it too, it's just who I am!!!
Personal note to: Victor steampunk Fest II and it master Mind Doc Cowles:
I know this has probably become a hot topic for you and that it is unlikely there is any "one" specific reason how this conflict happened... But I feel your pain and figure you are the one getting the shaft from the "BIG" City, Yes from the sidelines it looks like they are being Jerks and Stealing your thunder (I don't know the whole story so i may be Wrong). If I could I would be there for you - and I'd bring my friends- But I have other obligations I this weekend and can't make it. Please Don't let these unfortunate circumstances affect your hopes for the future of the Steampunk Fest- I really hope this year’s dates overlapping doesn't dishearten you for your efforts and the love for your event. You are appreciated and your Festival is Loved. You do have an audience and we support you. The general Hope is that TIME and experience is the solution to finding the formula that allows for the BIG City and the Country Cousin to both have their Day of Glory. ~We luv U man~

While traditionally at the Antlers, this year the Celebrate Youth in the Arts Breakfast is being held at the Hotel Elegante, 2886 S Circle Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80906.
Saw this band from Ireland at Spanish Peaks Celtic fest - AWESOME musicians and the singer has a cool voice. Special band - Highly recommend!
Have you ever noticed that a lot of contemporary art looks like "contemporary art"? Shit looks like "contemporary art" as if it were a clothing style or a military uniform. It's like Scandinavian furniture with a turd plopped on it - dirty pseudo modernism, basically. Art students pick up on this format expectation pretty quick & curators definitely exploit the fuck out of it & so everyone's happy, I guess. Most contemporary gallery curators should have gone into the fashion industry instead of the art industry. Oh, wait, THEY HAVE. PROTEST!
I heart robot peanut butter and her shooting stars! When are they playing again?
Rock & roll!
An Army Chaplain uses some of Waddie's Poems in his therapy sessions with soldiers. He said, "People seem to understand Waddie, even if they've never seen a cow." I couldn't agree more. That combined with the super tight harmonies of Sons and Brothers... it was an incredible night.
