OPENING SEPTEMBER 14:
God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza
Dinner With Friends meets Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf as the thin veneer of civility gives way to knock-down-drag-out hostility in this comedy of manners by celebrated modern playwright Yasmina Reza. Pretenses topple and illusions dissolve, helped along by some unpalatable truths washed down with a liberal helping of rum. Don’t miss our all-star cast in this 2009 Tony Award winner!

Poetry 719 and their event "Hear Here" is a brilliant sythesis of diversity and endless amounts of talent. The event welcomes anyone from any different background and allows them to express themselves in whichever way they choose into an audience of understanding eyes and open ears. The family-like atmosphere which holds no discrimination and welcomes all is complemented beautifully by the environment. The Movement Arts Community Studio is a spacious venue fully equipped with large west-facing windows so that the nostalgia of Colorado sunsets over the Rocky Mountains floods in and lights up the whole room. Hear Here and the diversity of the members brings about a copius influx of talent to the Colorado Springs community. Artists, Poets, Singers, Musicians, and the like attend Hear Here and unleash their talent in the finest and purest forms that is never in ill-taste. This is an event for any and all people, and it should be known that, whether one wants to speak or be spoken to, the community and Hear Here will welcome you with open hearts.
Pleasant atmosphere...Such a joy to have this in OUR community...Feeds all you SENSES :)
Hear Here is by far the most diverse, loving, tight knit community event I have ever experienced. Everyone is welcomed with open ears and encouragement. The featured poets are world renowned career poets who actively integrate themselves into this easy going atmosphere. There has not been a single time I've walked away without wishing it had gone on longer. If you are thinking of trying a poetry reading out, make this one your first priority. You won't be disappointed.
This is the only studio tour in the state where all the artists will be demonstrating their techniques in their actual working environments.Mediums include oils, watercolors, acrylics, wood turning, quilting, kilnworked glass, scratchboard, bronze sculpture, artistic blacksmithing, jewelry making, handmade paper, fine woodworking, fiber arts, and ceramics.
Looks like I need to make my way to this one. For poets looking for an online venue, year round, head to www.slampoems.com to submit performances and compete.

Freebird uses collective improvisation to create new music art in the moment. Last month's concert got raves from the audience. "Unique and engaging," they said.
For this event wonderful Brazilian vocalist Gui Camargo joins the SambaNova quartet and Brazilian dancer Cris Sadeh will not only put on a show but teach some simple steps to help you dance the night away. On the covered patio.
I like Colorado Springs Scrabble Club. a nice place to build up scrabble skills. I am engaged with scrabblecheats: http://www.scrabblecheats.com/ another good place for scrabble lover.
Hope everyone comes out to Fan Fest. It is going
to be a very exciting Race!
These guys are pretty restrictive in who they ultimately help, and a bit pushy with their religion...just saying
These guys are amazing!!!!!!!!!
What advice did ULI have for COS?

Great show, Beast was awesome; set changes were very creative, Nancy Holiday did a great job adapting this play to her actors. Costumes were very well designed.
