Re: “Crystola Roadhouse

Being a Singer / Song Writer / Entertainer, I like to take in a show when I can to relax. I saw a great show Tommy Castro & Jim Adams at the Crystola Roadhouse on March 5, 2011 and it was excellent! Darryl Maggs is really making this establishment, top notch with original talented artists for the front range music lovers. Great dinners also...

Re: “The Blue Star

Hiring the new chef and snagging Nate as a bartender were excellent decisions. The late night menu needs work and the staff are okay, but not brilliant. More training and a little more panache would go a long way. It's Blue Star, not Jose Muldoons and I expect the staff to live up to a higher standard. All that said, it's good value, the best martini in town, and a wine list that compels a second look.

Re: “The Cow Pub & Grill

Me and my wife are really excited about this place. We have gone many times now and have enjoyed great service and a wonderful atmosphere. We have met new friends every time we have gone in. The bar and restaurant are open and the mood seems to attract a great crowd of people. It is hard to be alone at this place.

Now let’s talk food. My wife has always said that the best way to tell if the food is good is to try the appetizers. We tried the sampler platter. We were pleased with the selection and the taste was great. We have also tried the Wings, and they do not come by the piece. You get a whole pound! We tried the hot, but plan to try the other flavors soon. Wow, and the Fries with chili and cheese were great.

Me, I think the best way to check out a place is to try the Cheeseburger. Well the bread, meat and the cheese were a delight! My wife enjoyed her Green Chili and all was well in the world. The guy we sat next to had ribs and boy did they look good. Can’t wait.

The Beer, Cold Cold Cold (Nuff said). The mixed drinks are mixed just right. The Mixer complements the alcohol, the way it should be.

So, if you need a place to relax, unwind and enjoy good company and eats, and of course a good drink, then stop by the HOLY COW. The name says it all.

Re: “The Cliff House at Pikes Peak

Our first experience here was for Valentines Day a couple of years ago and we were seated in the ballroom, which was converted to a dining room for the occasion. It was okay, but less than perfect. We just went back again a couple of weeks ago and were royally treated in the 'proper' dining room. The wine list is very extensive and the food and service were superb. We're putting this place on our top 10 list of local restaurants.

Re: “The Buzz

Belles Lounge is an amazing venue. It seems like every time I've gone in in the past month, the sound system has improved & so has the crowd ;D Ever since Funky Fresh Entertainment took over advertising, promotions & staff the place has taken off, from Brew & Beats' open EDM night on Monday to D*Funked Friday & Community Service Saturday. There's always something cool happening at Belles...... but what's up with the Nick Jr on tv?

Re: “Woody’s Bar & Grill

They act like they like you then just kick you out because you some the owner doesnt like. I would say never go in there unless you have money to blow on over priced drinks.

Re: “Tri-Lakes YMCA

We were members there for over a year until we couldn't take it anymore. Kids were constantly goofing around on the exercise equipment so adults couldn't find open treadmills and ellipticals. My kids could rarely use the gym because various Y sports were using them for practices. And the kicker: at least 1 out of every 3 evenings the pool would be shut down because a baby or toddler pooped in the water. Disgusting.

Re: “Tri-Lakes YMCA

With so many members, it is way past time to put in a decent swimming pool for real swimmers, those of us who want to swim laps in regulation size and temperatures! We joined with the understanding that the pool was "coming soon"! It has been 3 years!!!

Re: “Gasoline Alley

The problem with gasoline ally is that when they take your DL # & personal identification you are at risk!!! All it takes is your DL # and date of birth and now somebody can go out and commit crimes under your name or start to steal your identity. You could be in trouble with the police and not even know it because you gave out your personal information to some one who works at gasoline ally. Think of it this way: I can have my friend who works at the college or any other place that makes IDs make me a non government ID under your name. Now I can take your personal information such as date of birth and driver's licence # and memorize it. Now when I get stopped by a cop for breaking the law I can give him/her your DL # and date of birth along with a photo ID and tell him that I just recently lost my DL. NOW THE COP WILL ISSUE YOU A TICKET OR SOMEONE WILL BE ARRESTED UNDER YOUR NAME. Now when that person does not show up to court or pay your ticket they issue a WARRANT FOR YOUR ARREST!!! Your personal info will also work great for some who wants to extend their stay a little bit longer in America after their visa has expired. I know all this because I work for law enforcement and have seen cases like this happen before. The only people that should have access to such information are credited government agencies such as the DMV.

Re: “Lucy & Louise Atelier

From the moment my husband and I entered Lucy & Louise Paint the Town, we knew we were going to have a unique and fun date night! The atmosphere was welcoming with bright, festive decor while upbeat music played in the background. We settled-in with a set of brushes, an apron tied on, a glass of sparkling lemonade and a blank canvas resting on an easel. Bev, the owner/artist of Lucy & Louise Paint the Town, led us through a series of steps to create the featured painting, which was a Christmas tree for our class (or we could choose to paint whatever our hearts desired). As we painted the night away, we were entertained by Bev's southern charm, funny stories and encouragement that we would see our own individual creativity blossom on the canvas. When our artwork needed to dry, we enjoyed a break to shop at Lucy & Louise Atelier and mingle with the other painters. By the end of the night, we gathered for a group photo with our whimsical paintings, new friends and fun memories captured forever. We highly recommend this new, inspiring experience for a date night, girls-night-out, or just a treat for your own soul! Once you try it, you'll soon be Painting the Town along with us and starting a collection of masterpieces!

Re: “Pale Horse Bar and Lounge

Very cool new place, used to be the old tex-mex bar, but the new owners cleaned and polished it up and now its just a really cool neighborhood bar. Nice liquor selection and a really chill place. Not much on tap, but the bottle beer was abundant. Karaoke on a Monday Night was packed (probably because of the contest) Highly recommend this place
