This is the closest sports bar to my house; the wife and I enjoy going here for the occasional beer and lunch/dinner. The only other options around here are large chains; at least for the Cimarron Hills neighborhood. (Rock Bottom and Old Chicago come to mind.)
This is actually a cute sports bar and the food is decent. A 25oz Guinness set me back $6.99 which I felt was a tad bit pricey, but the pours were excellent and the beer fresh. The food prices were good; I had a decent-sized wrap and a cup of some very tasty chicken-tortilla soup for about $10.
So... obviously the profit margin here is made on alcohol, not food. ;) This is true for many restaurants, though.
A few stand-outs - the Buffalo-chicken wrap with fresh carrots and celery as well as the spicy burger (Dynamite burger, or something like that I believe) are very tasty.
The atmosphere is loud and kid friendly, so don't expect this to be a "quiet date night" kinda place. It's a place to bring the kids, have a beer, and watch some sports - with good food and decent if slightly expensive drinks.
Trinity is unique, and Colorado Springs is lucky to have it. First off - go here for the beer. The food is good, yes, but the beer is really the entire reason to experience Trinity. (I think right now they have a Cucumber-Basil Saison on tap - if you aren't into anything more adventurous than a Bud Light, you probably aren't going to enjoy this brewery.)
For the people who rate Trinity poorly; I'm not sure what they expect out of a microbrewery. Trinity has been rated in the top 25 breweries in the world; again, for a community as small as the Springs is; we're lucky to have a place like this. I don't know anywhere else in the city where I can go get beers as wildly different as Trinity offers with appetizers ranging from thick, sliced bacon slices served with maple syrup to vegan fajitas (which are amazing; and I'm not vegan!) - anyway... five stars.
The posting at the top rings true. The owner has some head issues. Nuf sed.
I must say the place has taken a turn for the worst. Don't rely on my comments though, I am not afraid to be wrong.
Trinity has horrible service. We like their beer, but they have no idea how to run a restaurant. They publish hours but stopped service food and beer over an hour early early, both in the restaurant and bar for the last 2 times we were there.
Kelly O'Brian's is a staple in the community... has been as long as I've lived in CS. Great lunch specials, live music, kareoke... friendly staff. Most of all, they have been consistant for years... low turn-over so you see the same smiling faces!
Decided to stop and try the food here when we noticed the specials board while strolling through Old Colorado City - VERY glad we did! They had a lot more than just burgers and bar food. We had the Lettice Wraps as an appetizer and tried a couple of the daily specials - I had Chicken Marsala and the wife had the Sloppy Buffalo. Everything tasted great. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere with very good service. Loved the vintage NFL helmets around the bar - will definitely be back for football season also!!
It's called belly dancing, and his actually one of the best in town... Shame you didn't enjoy the show!!! Try again :-)
I really liked the atmosphere when I first walked in and even the people were decent, but the crowd overall seemed snobish and not willing to mingle. I got over that quickly because I was there to smoke hookah anyways. Maybe five minutes into the night, one of the WORKERS there took off his shirt and started doing this weird bellydance for about 30 minutes. I was there with my boyfriend and it was very uncomfortable. I havent gone back since. If I wanted to see some half naked skinny freak strip, id go to a strip club. I have to admit, it was the most well kept place Ive seen in town for a hookah bar, but the dancing was offputting.
The beers are always good, food could use some improvement.
They really don't seem to give a rip about their patrons, I had a coupon that I paid for, it had a phone # for their business but was wrong. It was Sun. so just thought they were closed. The coupon expired that day and they wouldn't honor it, even though it was their fault for having wrong #. They basically said, tough bounce. They really expect me to ever want to give them any business??!!
We have been regular patrons of Meadow Muffins for almost 3 years now and it stands out as the most enjoyable, high class, fun, entertaining and SAFE bar in old colorado city. The menu has changed and its a great place to eat, meet friends, enjoy reasonably priced drinks. I like that there are several bouncers around to keep the trouble makers out, unlike the competiting bar across the street that allows the usual fights inside and outside their business with no concern for the innocent regular customers. Meadow Muffins will always be our favorite place and our old friends and new one's to come in the years to come. The owner's are very welcoming and encourage any concerns you may have, which there are none. Lets help spread the word and everyone meet for the nightly entertainment...
Excellent pub-style food and drinks, very friendly, informed and helpful staff, clean and very welcoming.

This is a great little bar! They serve up craft beers from breweries from all over in a friendly laid back atmosphere. Stop by and you will not regret it.
" just stating a fact" Due to the privact act of Jan 2000, no establishment is legally allowed to keep or reproduce your personal identification for any reason, they are to view, confirm and return the Identification upon payment.
A few good reasons this law is in effect are due to issues that are similar to some of the reviews about this establishment.
Take a look at your local laws and see for yourself, this establishment can and should be sued for this poor practice..
Good overflowing chips & salsa, good appitizers and good drinks if you are in a snacky, chatty mood w/friends. Stop there.
The mexican-esque food that is put together in a very fast food way is very expensive, very poor quality and very non-authentic.
To start the table off, a platter of soft and hard shelled tacos came out cold. Cold shells and cold insides. Followed by super-hot (microwaved?) plates of Burritios, Chimichangas and Enchilidas made 'on the fly' (E.g. slap contents into a shell, wrap, cover with sauce and cheese, deep fry or microwave).
For the sides, very small portions of seemingly canned, generic rice and beans.
The bill was outrageous and insulting for food and portions that were no better and in a few cases way worse than the corner El-Mexicano, Taco trucks or Taco Johns.
Pay no attention to this 'real NAVAJO'. I'm part Native myself (I know this guy would not consider me real; Guess what? I don't care) and I am not offended by the name in any way. The Navajo Hogan ROCKS! Why don't you go pick on the KC Chiefs or Cleveland Indians or are you too wasted on Mad Dog 2020?
good food yes, but NOISE level is too much
need damping
Re: “Trinity Brewing Company”
When it opened, it had potential...a few tweaks here and there...but they tweaked in the wrong direction.
It is now basically a club for some fairly weird people, and if you are not a member of 'the club', you might as well find someplace else because the wait staff will ignore you, find you simply a problem for having woken up in the morning, and a bother for distracting them from the 'club members.'
The beer is interesting if you are smoking dope, but otherwise a good Dales for half the price anywhere else in town should do the trick.
