I have been there multiple times in the past 8 years and give them 5 stars... It is one of the safer places to get back on your feet if your only looking for a free place to stay because of shear lazyness then look someplace else yes they have rules and the rules are put there for everyone..It is temporary so if your serious about it you will follow the rules and get hustling you have 14 days to find work it can be done .. it's not ment to be used as your home they will help you if you show serious effort
I have given two separate tests at RJ Montgomery for UA'S both times they have come up hot for methamphetamines and THC both times I've went down to my parole office to task and took a retest and both times they have come up nenegative either they need to get into the 21st century and start using Labcorp like everybody else does or they need to get new tests. One of the two, it's a decent facility but their tests are out of date.
I have a titanium plate in my wrist but it's perfectly functional and I can get to the top bunk to sleep just fine. I was turned away to the street because RJ Montgomery says because of my wrist I am only allowed a bottom bunk and they have no more bottom bunks available. When I told them that I would be fine with a top bunk, the shelter supervisor told me that I was not allowed to have what's available due to insurance reasons and therefore not allowed to stay in the shelter. I am homeless and it is wintertime.
I give them -5 stars this is the second time i have called to see once back in Jan2016 and Today ...sorry i can not help your family is to big
The Ellicott Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is still going strong, but is in need of serious funding. The mission is to receive injured, orphaned, and ill wildlife in hopes of rehabilitation and return to life in the wild. The Ellicott rehabilitation team is licensed by State of Colorado and U.S. Fish and Game. They are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, with an ALL volunteer staff that receives NO funding from the state or federal governments :( It is baby Great Horned Owl season again! Over the last few weeks, many owl chicks were blown out of their nests during the March 2016 Blizzard and and major snow storms. Please visit the Ellicott site to donate today!
I give the R.J. Montgomery Salvation Army a POOR RATING. The Salvation Army located a 709 South Sierra Madre has the dirties bathrooms and showers due to they do not use bleach on the tolients nor in the showers. They only give people who WANT to WORK 14 days to find a job, if they DO NOT find a job within those 14 days they are KICKED OUT for 3 months.
The STAFF MEMBERS there are the rudest people ever to work in a shelter. They yell and scream at the clients there and get away with it according to (Mr, Tom), because the R.J. Montgomery STAFF MEMBERS are NEVER WRONG and the CLIENT IS ALWAYS WRONG. And they expect the clients to be quite and not get upset back at the STAFF MEMBERS for being disrespectful. IF a Client yells or screams back at the STAFF MEMBERS the Client IS KICKED OUT for 6 months.
In ALL HONESTY, I dispise the R. J. Montgomery Salvation Army New Hope Center. I pray that these FAKE CHRISTIANS GET THIS MESSAGE.
Thanks Linda, it's been fixed.
Urban Peak is NOT in Old Colorado City, but just east of Cimarron, downtown near The Cottonwood Center for the Arts, Vallejo's Mexican Restaurant and Mardosz Fine Arts.

Diabetics helping diabetics. Best educators I have ever had. They've trained me on two different insulin pumps and a continuous glucose monitor. I'm employed at Memorial Hospital and could go to their educators for free, but I would never think of going anywhere else. Deanne and Andrea are the absolute best.
