A snug and tucked-away treasury of rich offerings across all genre of books or movies. It is quiet and this is not where the crowds are congregating, making it a comfortable place to spend some quality time among the ink. Only a few computers make this a sweet place.
Marika's coffee shop is truly the one place you must stop for coffee and a choice of many rich delectable goodies while you watch the people go by. If you aren't into the folks, you can spend a couple of hours just looking at all the art on display! It is fascinating. A great local hangout, you'll meet artists, writers, belly-dancers, no telling, but it is a fun and colorful place to hang.
A fine event scene on the reknowned Colorado College Campus. Historic architecture and wildly phenomenal acoustics make this one of the best kept secrets among COS most cultured population. Many offerings are free for the enjoyment of the community, and the community <3s this, turning out in good numbers for every event. <3 Packard Hall and Colorado College!
A challenging place to commune with nature, both flora and fauna abound. The hills are a bit tough now that I have a severe enough ankle injury. Concern for my ability to navigate the mountainous scenery and habitats make me nervous about going so far this year, but I WILL GO! SOON! I hope to get a season ticket. I can't wait to see all the beautiful and well-cared for beasties! And some of them are wearing clothes!! ;-P Great place for people watching as well as animal peeping.

Wow...! What a fantastic show. I didn't for a second think I was watching a High School production. I thought I was in a professional theatre. It was as good as that. The performers/singers were outstanding. The costumes and sets were exceptionally well done and the lighting and live band performance were terrific. I laughed, I cried, I cheered. Even my very critical 14 yr old teenager gave it a 10/10. This is a must see performance.
Is this a flash mob to advertise this church?
For ever grateful for the day The Lord brought us to the springs .
I Think this church would really appeal to the Independent's readership. They are community based with a strong emphasis on service projects. It's a place where you can roll up your sleeves and make a real difference in Colorado Springs and have such fun doing it! It's radical approach to the truth in the bible is really powerful and people's lives are changing.
There is such a willingness on the part these people to let their real lives, real pain show and walk compassionately with each other.
Its more than just church.... its home. This is my family.
... The Spring Church is a prelude of what all the churches should be at the end of times ... I beleive that it will set an example to the one's that claims to be, rather then obey the gospel of God ... It is calll "Philadelphia" meaning ( LOVE OF A BROTHER ).
REVELATION 3: 7-13 ... " I pray that all members of this church, support Pastor Gary in what God have call him to do in his name ... Amen
At this church, people don't just talk the talk, they walk the walk...they really care about all of God's creation, (feeding the hungry, helping many who are hurting for various reasons...addicts, homeless, sick & those in prison), I love this place! This "family" is not about a religion but relationships! True DOERS of the WORD of God!!
Love the teaching from there. Great church. I listen on-line.
I've never been to Springs Church, I live out of state. But I do listen/watch online and am very grateful that option is available. I feel I'm getting the real 'meat' of the Word, and God has spoken to me and gave me spiritual growth through the webcasts.
Phenomenal church. Non-judging, supportive group of people. A real family.
So you park your car, then you walk across the field and then you can walk up to the top of the razorback ridge. Once there you get a great view of the mountains to the west but watch out, it feels like a cliff.
Thanks Linda, it's been fixed.
Urban Peak is NOT in Old Colorado City, but just east of Cimarron, downtown near The Cottonwood Center for the Arts, Vallejo's Mexican Restaurant and Mardosz Fine Arts.
This Y is in a nice area of town. Don't let this fool you, the place is overrun with gangster kids and skaters from the nearby skate park. I was never concerned about that until my locker was broken into, during a busy time on a Tuesday. No security, nothing done about it. Management was not surprised in the least, and stated so. I guess you are completely on your own here. If you have young children you think are being supervised, you might want to think again. This is an unsafe place pretending to be a safe place for families.
Re: “Pikes Peak Center”
Intimate venue for shows and a great place to see your friends. I saw Jackson Brown there in November standing room only, though I had great seats if not a little too close to the double doors, but near the stage.
The bar is open and life is good. Great place to attend any event!
