Bought $40 in gift cards for them 2 years back when they had the powers location (which closed shortly after due to tax fraud). I went to the downtown location to use my gift cards and they tell me they are not the same restaurant. The back of the card clearly states the downtown address for use. Then they tell me it's because they devalued the cards due to not using them. I feel completely ripped off. Don't buy gift cards!!!
food was less then average. I could have had a better tasting, tenderer tender steak sandwich. that was this year 1/30/2012. The week before that my friend and I both got raw rice with our meal with no comp or cooked rice. I think subway would have been a better meal. But their servers were awesome.
I have eatin at this place and with the horrible service and food not up to even bar standards, they need help. They had a chef and new manager in the summer that had great ideas and service track to improve it, but the owner let them go and fast. Hired some guy that was let go too. How about we let the owner go and save this place!!! HIRE BACK THE HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM FROM SUMMER. How bad great place to be.
The coffee itself is fine, but the owner, almost religiously expouses her alternative sexual lifestyle. I'm most bothered by the gay reading material strewn on the tables. Then she has "groups" come over and meet there. It's awkward to say in the least.
My family and I have really been treated rudely here. We have a disabled daughter who was mocked and made fun of by the barista. My daugther was really upset and started crying. I told the owner and she did nothing. I live next door to this place and I'm disappointed in their behavior. We won't go back again.
It was a chilly, rainy night and we poppen into the La Tartine expecting the same wonderful food and service that we had at the La Baguette. The restaurant was lonely with only another couple that looked like they had been waiting for some time to be served. I ordered the quiche, but didn't have a choice of what kind because they were out of the other ingredents. My husband ordered the beef bourguignon and we both ordered the French onion soup, which was billed as "the best in town." While we waited longer than we thought was needed because the restaurant was not busy, the other couple finally got their dishes after about 15 minutes. Ours came about 10 minutes later with service that was clumsey, soup spilled all over the plate. The quiche was the smallest portion I've ever seen and my husbands bourguignon was disgraceful with scimpy portions of beef. We paid much to much for the experience and will never go back or will recommend it to anyone.
My husband and I just had dinner at the Creekview Grill tonight. They food was very good, but the service was lousy! Unless you are there to belly up to the bar and flirt with the bartenders and waitresses, you will get overlooked. Sorry to say, but we will not be back for quite some time. Maybe someone reading this will realize there needs to be better management of the restaurant.
Horrible service if you are non white! Stopped after church while visiting friends in Colorado Springs. Had to open other section to seat our group of 5. Other groups arrived after us, but our group order was the last taken. When our waitress went by, she never stopped to see if beverages needed refill. Food was delivered to all tables around us. When waitress asked another table if they were "fine and in need of anything", I spoke up and said" No things are not fine, we need our food" The reply was "well when it's cooked, I'll get it". Needless to say, we left. No service-no pay-no tips. Don't go there if you are non-white!
The Ritz is only a disappointing shadow of its former self. It's just sad to be there now. The food has gone downhill, as has the service. Not even a decent bloody mary. Time to go elsewhere.
Ritz Downtown - Blah. My chicken sandwich was significantly overcooked. My wife ordered the chicken and shrimp pasta. They forget to put in the shrimp! The waitress offered to give us a to go box with shrimp in it to make up for it. WTF!. No offer to reduce the bill for skipping the shrimp. Move on to a better restaurant folks!
Re: “East Coast Deli”
These guys really would rather you go for breakfast to the place next door on Tejon street so they can sit our front and smoke.
The food is awful and certain things go off the menu, like hash browns, at lunch because it is too much trouble to cook on the grill with lots of pending orders.
