I love this place!!! The food is fresh, with true mexican flare!! The people that work there want nothing more but for you to enjoy your food and expierence there. I would truly reccomend Amanda's Fonda to anyone looking for a great meal, great time, and a full stomach...
Not sure if they are competent. First they ran out of shrimp. They took our orders and came back to the table 40 minutes after we ordered and told us they ran out of chicken, so members of our party had to reorder. Served another party member a frozen margarita and forgot to put in the alcohol. Very very slow. Do you guys know what you are doing?
Love the "venue". Great decor and setting. The chips were thin, crisp and tasty but the salsa could use a little more flavor and heat - it had a very tomatoey taste. Loved the basmati/saffron style rice - a good mix with the mexican food. Beans were tasty but could use a little jalapeno or green chili. I had the enchildas with a type of "Alfredo" sauce - very rich and yummy. I definately would go again and again! I'm so glad this place opened! The hostess and wait staff were awesome!
This is the worst representation of Mexican food I have ever experienced.
yep, used to love this restaurant, now not so much. Went there for cinco de mayo - although you would never even know it was cinco de mayo because staff or restaurant didn't even seem to acknowledge it - and they no longer have frozen margaritas... i have never heard of a mexican restaurant not having frozen margaritas. this is what i always ordered, but no more?? So we left. They didn't seem to care... kinda sad.
Pero A pelon le falta cocinar más las papas
I Love it, Real Mexican food, fresh, and tasty, good service, good prices. I Love it.
Fantastic food and the friendliest cook/owner around.
Love this place! They have the best guacamole and carne esada! Truly the authentic...not like your chain restaurants at all!!!
Superb food and friendly service. I like that they have entrees that are authentic Mexican but not the usual burrito/taco/enchilada fare that's everywhere else. Try the pollo con arroz (chicken and rice), or any of the seafood offerings. Margaritas are fine but nothing to write home about; the usual selection of Mexican beers.
Oops, looks like one star is the minimum. FOOD POISONING ! Have gone here few times, was OK. However on 3/11/11 we had fish tacos and chile rellenos/ steak tacos. Mine was OK. A few hours after eating, my daughter a healthy twenty-year-old, with no food allergies, got violently sick with vomiting and diarrhea all night. She had not eaten since 10:30 that morning- so no other causes. She has had the same item there before. The following morning I called and talked to manager. She seemed neither surprised nor concerned, saying that stuff is going around. ER Doc said if you get sick within a few hours of eating-it was the meal that got you. Looks like stuff is going around _IN THE KITCJEN_.
Have since talked to local neighbors who skip this place.
Poblano's needs a surprise visit from Health Dept!! You decide, whether you want to roll the dice here! An elderly person could get finished off by food-borne pathogens.
We love eating here. It's a great place to have a late lunch during the week. My kids absolutely love their beans and rice. Same as everyone else, the Avocado Pork burrito smothered is the only way to go. For us, it's the best mexican food in Co Springs.
Always good food and service. The bartenders Blake, Ivan and barback George are my favorites.
Moneymoo that's to bad. I've been a patron for 20+ also and I must say I've waited for the day for Jose to serve me a bad meal (but they've been consistent over those 20). Not sure why people are blasting the food, you know it's not authentic before you come (but it is consistently good). Good, not necessarily authentic, southwestern food (not that tex-mex garbage).
Horrible, horrible, horrible. Been my hangout for 25 years and last week the food sucked enough to never go back.
GREAT FOOD BUT EXPENSIVE BURRITO'S ARE TO TOO SMALL FOR PRICE
SORRY BUT THAT IS NOT THE BEST HELL NOT EVEN CLOSE,IF THEY GIVE YOU A SALSA OUT OF A JAR AND CHIPS FROM A BAG THATS NOT AUTHENTIC BY NO MEANS.WERE FROM TEXAS AND LA CASITA IS THE ONLY PLACE WE FOUND EVEN HALF WAY CLOSE TO GOOD IN COLORADO PERIOD WHATS WRONG WITH THE PEOPLE HERE WERE'S THE REAL MEXICAN FOOD???
Re: “The Loop”
never had to wait no 40 minutes for an order ever....even when the place is packed...which is all the time
