We ordered two prime NY strips at approx 40 bucks each. Very disappointed with the quality and did not even finish. The manager did take some $$ off the bill. Wines were good...
amazing waste of money - they bought off the paper's reviewer?
My family and I recently went to the movies (Cinema Pt.) but had some time to waste so we went for a quick lunch at Nawlins next door. I should have left after my first impression; dirty floors, dirty tables, and stank smell. We sat ourselves at the cleanest table we could find (still pretty gross) and waited for our waitress. We ordered our food and it came out, I was excited to try alligator and my softshell crab. I asked the waitress when ordering why the crab was cheaper than the shrimp or other fried appetizers, she replied "dunno" but stated she tried it and it was good. When it showed up there was 1 tiny shriveled crab on a bed of undercooked fries. The alligator bites were tasteless and hushpuppys were hard as rocks and cold. Much like the earlier commenter my daughter had 1 chicken nugget and told us she was done (old grease funny smell). Oh btw, when the waitress brought out our food she failed to bring silverware/napkins. When they showed up the napkins were soiled with dried food and the silverware was foggy (not clean). I've spent a lot of time in Biloxi and New Orleans, but I gotta say this place brought back zero memories of the wonderful food I experienced there. After the Gazette and the Indy did reviews on the Falcon location for Nawlins I must admit I was excited to try this place, but left disappointed (must blame the management for these conditions).
This place is turning into quite a royal joke, and it deserves a greasy death. Went to eat here, and of course, was told they dont take a debit card for payment-but, but wait here it comes-we have an ATM inside the restaurant that our customers can get money from, and thats at the rate of $2.50 cents a pop for a withdrawal to pay for your meal. Lets all put our collective genuis' together, and guess who owns the ATM. Maybe the owner, or the owners business acquaintance? I could be wrong completely, but doubt it. If I am not, then the owner can step up to the plate (pun intended) and tell us who owns it-it's on their property I am sure they know.
Ritz Downtown - Blah. My chicken sandwich was significantly overcooked. My wife ordered the chicken and shrimp pasta. They forget to put in the shrimp! The waitress offered to give us a to go box with shrimp in it to make up for it. WTF!. No offer to reduce the bill for skipping the shrimp. Move on to a better restaurant folks!

Is it the altitude or what? I just read the Gazette's food section and saw King Chef and their nomination for Colorado's best breakfast in food net's magazine...
I am utterly appalled. How horrible is the Colorado palate that this greasy abomination slathered on a plate has Colorado natives raving? Well i say shame on you Colorado Springs. How can you let this represent us as a whole when there is so much better out there? I mean even a national corporation can produce better slop, are we feeding a bunch of brainwashed easily impressed pigs? Or are we feeding the proud distinguished citizens of Colorado?
All i see from this situation is that quantity overrides quality. for example i can cook up a bunch of burnt Russet potatoes and you people think I'm a professional chef. If I put my Heart and Soul into a dish that bursts with flavor yet is slightly small I'm nobody. You see Coloradans have been set into the corporate fling, Value.
If you can get more for your buck it wins awards, but if you can cook with outstanding ingredients and produce an outstanding product customers say "7.99 for a zucchini sandwich? well i can get more elsewhere..." The main point i bring to you is this.... YOU COLORADO, have lost your love of flavor, impressive ingredients, and bold presentation. An since have given in to a family sized platter of flavorless mush,over-spicy chili, and burnt over buttered potatoes, because its more food for less money. I can out-cook King Chef, and Nosh and i can prove it, so i say shame on you Colorado Springs, for sacrificing your palates to save money.
Sincerely, The Colorado guru of flavor
CHEF Jesse Davenport
The last time some friends and I went here the serves was the worst! We sat down and waited for a wait person. The place wasn’t very crowded. We sat and waited and waited. Finally I got up and ordered drinks at the bar. Two of the people I was with got up and went across the street and ate at Jimmy John’s. I asked a waiter walking by for help and he said it wasn’t his area. Finally a women came by to wait on us, my friend said that would be nice because we had been waiting for some time. She said that wasn’t possible! ? Our other friends returned from Jimmy John’s just as we were given menus. We ordered and wait a while for our food. We were not offered another drink. I asked to talk to the manager and was told by the first waiter he was busy. We paid and walked out the front door. We were than told by someone else that the manager was standing out front. I told him of our experience, to which he said that we should of talked to him. He then told me that someone had said that I had yield at one of the waitress, which is pure fiction, and if I had why didn’t he intervene at that point? My friends and I are all in our 40’s and 50’s, one is an ex police officer. I have enjoyed many and evening at Quinns, and have played music there before. I and my friends will not be coming back!
5 friends and I picked Trinity to celebrate an upcoming event. We arrived by 6:30 and ended up on the couches in the back. At 8:45 she let us know it was last call, we asked for a few waters and the bill. As she drops off the bill the very drunk owner tells us we are closing, you have to go. We said, yes, we are just paying our bill. He told us we had 10 minutes. Less than five minutes later he comes back and says, get up now. Get up. Leave. We said we were just waiting for the credit cards, we would gladly leave when we get those back. He said to wait out front. We denied that request and decided to wait right where we were . We asked him why we were being kicked out as the restaurant was still 1/3 full with patrons. He said we offended him but refused to tell us how. How can we possibly have offended him? Before that point, he had not even come to the back where we were sitting. Six respectable, 30-45 year old moms, we had all gotten together earlier that day....at the elementary school PTO meeting. Yeah, clearly we "offended" him.
Stay away from Trinity Brewing and the owner with the dreadlocked beard, he admitted his is a jacka** when he drinks. It is true. We have seen it. Can't wait until the next PTO meeting!
burned, over-priced food and a very rude manager (dressed in wrinkled tshirt and pants) who argued with us in the middle of the dining room. Pathetic.
These guys are just going through the motions. Ate there last night, with the following issues:
1. Food tastes canned, frozen and re-heated. Nasty greasy fried potatoes, something that was supposed to be a potato dumpling appeared to be more of the same stuffed into a mold and dumped onto the plates
2. Pricey for the type of meals and beverages served
3. Indifferent staff - did not get the main course I ordered, side dishes were not as advertised on menu
4. Badly in need of a renovation - musty
The overall impression is that none of the profits are going back into the business or staff.
Service is horrible!!!
The staff is inattentive and dismissive. It's painfully obvious they they are easily overcome by events. The bartender is overly concerned with catering to female patrons rather than his actual job. The acoustics in the place are terrible and it's a shame because the bands are great. The music is almost drowned out by people chatting away. Most of this is attributed to the fact that the place is in the garage of the owners other business which the staff freely admits, like its a good thing. The food is way overrated and over priced as well as the drinks. The entire place has an air of extreme pretentiousness as the staff is overly concerned with local elites (some Army General's wife) that frequent the place while in turn neglecting other customers. I recommend with conditions namely eat before you go, don't expect prompt service and sit outside as the indoor acoustics are almost unbearable.
The only thing good about this place is Taco Tuesday and happy hour. The Margarita's aren't that great either especially after having a Tivo from Jorge's.
My husband and I went to Poblanos tonight to "give them another chance". When Poblanos first open we thought "great, a Mexican resturant close by". Their food was alright, but each time we have visited since the portions have been less and less. Tonight my husband ordered the fajita salad and after a few bites and after moving the few vegetables around asked the waitress where the meat was. She insulted him by bringing a small plate with a couple of tiny slices of skirt steak. He told her to forget it and handed her his entire plate and stated he was unsatisfied with the meal and did not want it. The manager then actually returned the plate to my husband and shoved it under his face and said he had already eaten most of the meal, which made our point exactly...my husband had only taken a few bites. My husband told the manager he did not want to argue with him, but the manager kept carrying on. My husband left the resturant and I told the manager to get me the bill that I would pay for both meals and then the manager proceded to argue with me. I could not believe it! I have never experienced anything like that and we dine out regularly. What happened to the customer always being right. I cannot imagine Poblanos being in business much longer. Lousy food ... Lousy service.
DO NOT STAY OR EAT HERE! Don’t let the ambiance fool you. If you go in you’ll notice very few customers if any. This should’ve been my first clue. The locals obviously don’t eat here for good reason. The food is absolutely disgusting and overpriced. The service is subpar. And the owner is a total slime ball, with a bad attitude, which has very shoddy/deceptive business practices. I held my wedding reception here and my father, who paid for it is absolutely furious and embarrassed by the food that was served to our guests. We wouldn’t even serve this stuff to our dogs. It took two hours for them to serve us. We asked the waitress for our drinks, she would nod and say okay but never wrote it down and then didn’t bring the drinks back and we had to ask again. The soda was served in red-plastic cups instead of glasses. I wanted one glass of wine and was told that I had to order an entire bottle or they wouldn’t serve it to me. I couldn’t even have a glass of wine at my own wedding reception. My grandmother asked for hot herbal tea and they told her they couldn’t do that. They severed rolls that were hard as a rock and obviously not baked on site. They didn’t even provide plates for the rolls. The dinnerware they did us on was old, chipped, faded and of poor quality. The salad was swimming in dressing. I sent mine back. We chose Mahi-Mahi with Mango Salsa and Pork “Medallions” as our entrees. The “mango-salsa” was not freshly prepared. It was obvious that it came straight out of a jar. I love mangoes and this did not taste like mango at all. The pork was not served with gravy or any other sauce. Both the fish and the pork chops were overcooked and dried out and chewy. The broccoli was cooked to death, it was mushy and inedible. The twice baked potatoes tasted like they’d been baked three or four times. They had no cheese, no chives, no sour cream, and no butter – not even salt. I don’t think they even mashed the filling with milk. It was almost like they baked the potatoes, scooped out the flesh and then just stuffed it back in. All the food in general had no flavor what-so-ever. I took one bite of each thing and pushed my plate away as did many of my guests. And only one person asked for a take home container. The majority of our guests left early in order to go get an edible meal somewhere else. And we ended up going to eat at a late night diner afterwards. Not only did we have the reception here my father also paid for several hotel rooms for wedding guests at the adjoined Rhodeway Inn owned by the same man. He refused to give any kind of discount and is now also refusing to return the deposit. In addition to this my Maid of Honor who stayed at the Inn overheard him talking about his hotel guests while he was picking up a few stray rocks from the landscaping; he said something to the effect of “people’s stupid (expletive) kids and their terrible (expletive) parents”. If he hates his customers so much he should probably get out of the hospitality industry. This man ruined the most important night of my life. Please do not let him do it to you.
Tried it one evening after coming down off the Incline. I heard that it was good. Wait staff was not very friendly, wondered if the dust on my clothes made them think I would not tip. Not a very good selection of beer, even Mexican beer was spartan. Food very bland. I would give this an overall rating of okay if your starving and everything else is booked.
I'm thoroughly surprised that this place has gotten any good reviews. My husband and I went to Poblanos tonight for the first time, and we were completely disappointed. The waitress was slow, the "sangria" I ordered had a milky texture, the appetizer (we ordered the Queso Fundido) was a glob of grease and cheese, and the food was totally bland, even after a good dose of salt. My husband ate all of his food in hopes he'd find the flavor, but I couldn't stomach all of mine and left over half the plate. There are so many better places in Colorado Springs, so don't waste time or money here. Even Taco Bell is better because it at least has flavor!
I would not recommend it at all. The service is pretty bad and the food borders on mediocre. Perhaps for someone who has never tasted Peruvian food it will seem that the food offered in this restaurant is exotic in taste but Peruvian cuisine if far superior than that.
I won't be back! I could not believe the foul language that the employees use so freely. Everything form F--k to C--t. I was shocked to say the least. If I had been there alone, I would have walked out. Thank God they stopped their cussing when a family with little kids came in. Get some class people, your DISGUSTING.
This place is over hyped. They have decent pizza, but they do not care about either customers or employees. NY attitude is one thing but not giving a crap is another thing. I briefly worked for them at the Platte location for about three months as a delivery driver. Before that I worked as a driver for another place for six years. They have bad phone lines so orders are hard to take. They often do not have enough drivers working so orders are late. If there was a problem getting an order to a customer I often could not call the customer because I would have an incorrect phone number. Then the manager would just lie to the customer to cover his own ass. The pizza may be OK but there are other places in town that aren't going to treat you like crap and probably have better pizza. Don't give your money to the folks at Borriello Brothers. There is better pizza out there and nicer people.

Worst Customer Service I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing
