Kim Holdren Kowalski lists her self as currently employed by this business on her LinkedIn page, claims she's been their webmaster since 2011, yet in her glowing review, she does not disclose this.
At best it's highly questionable.

A little over a month ago, one of the bartenders named Chris Anerdon assaulted me and attempted to kill me.
He fled the scene of the crime before the police arrived.
I have filed charges with the city, and am in the process of getting a restraining order against him, and several other employees of Bennys who participated in the assault.
Please, especially women, do not go to Bennys. More than one female friend has been Assaulted in the parking lot and the owner Dana, and the incompetent bouncer named Mike have turned a blind eye to drug dealing, violent assaults, sexual crimes, and homelessness on the property.
I have also attempted to reasonably make contact with the owner to discuss the fact that he is essentially endorsing his employees attempted murder of me(worth no provocation).
I am also in the process of going over the incompetent police office Adam Loughtons head and getting a supervisor to expand the list of charges that are to eventually be served to Chris Anderson and several other employees at this criminal blight on our community.
Anyone in Colorado who rates this place high, knows nothing about Italian food. Pronounced by Coloradans as "Eye Talian food". If you think this place represents Italian food in any way, you are sadly mistaken. My family and I will never be back. Sign me the only Italian in all of Colorado Springs.
Tony...FIRE JAIME. I know 11 people..plus myself..that no longer come there because of her. She seens to hate her job and ishateful person. Maybe shes going through some stuff. Dunno, but her combination of ignoring customers and viscious UNFOUNDED verbal abuse is running businedd away. The word from people that temain is " yeah, shes like that". My question is..why is that ok?
I would say to anyone readinh this...stay away. SO many other placed...Thunder and Buttons is one and the barstaff thete will joke around AND take your order..make good drinks and are tge epitomy of great servicr. Probably why I tip Lindsey so well...HAPPILY spending $55 last Wednesday and want to go back. Go there or ANYWHERE else besides B's with'the "B"!
Everyone leaving reviews on here is spot on...its a joke....send the health inspector...and i don't care if the review is a year old...I was there today and its all still spot on!!!! smells like pot and cigs and the staff is the rudest I have ever encountered.
This is a story of how a local business losses a good, profitable customer.
I have been going here for almost a decade now. We are OK with the random service misses but today (Father's Day) just took the cake. This is the second time that this similar issue has happened to us.
My Wife asked me where I wanted to go to have a nice, just the two of us, Father's Day Dinner. I said WINGS! In short order we fired up the Harley and hit the road from the Peyton area on our way to O'Malley's in Palmer Lake. I wanted their wings that much so we rode the 30 plus miles to get there. The place if you have ever been there is a local, biker'ish bar that does do wings good with the other food being pretty standard pub quality. When in doubt we do like to patronize mom-n-pop local businesses in the area.
However, it took us a long time to hit O'Malley's after the first service zinger last year. Well they just did it again and frankly that is it! We work hard for our money and it is very difficult to pass that money along to a place that seems to think having poorly trained, bad attitude waitresses are OK with providing terrible service to very loyal customers. A waitress named Hannah (not even our primary waitress) felt is necessary to make a scene when she had thought we had too much Blue Cheese dressing for our wings (and unlimited salad bar). The fact is we asked for Blue Cheese but were delivered Ranch instead which I had to explain to her while our food was getting cold.
The back story: when our burger, salad bar and wings were delivered (by the owner) there was no waitress in sight right afterwards. They were busy, they were slow so with a nice hot steaming pile of wings sitting right in front of us we thought it appropriate to snag a scoop of Blue Cheese from the already "paid for" salad bar and start digging in. However, Hannah walked up behind me looking over my shoulder and rudely interrupted us right in the middle of eating to start berating us publically on the dressing issue. We were forced to listen to her recite, in a very condescending manner, some nonsense about it was too much for my order of 10 wings so she was going to add an upcharge to my bill. I want to make a note here too that I actually ended up not having enough for my 10 wings and ate the last 3 dry. We literary sat there dumbfounded listening to her, along with the other surrounding tables hearing her as well, give a lesson on Blue Cheese dressing ordering practices for O'Malleys Pub. I honestly wished I had recorded this so you all can actually hear for yourself this ridiculous situation! I told my waitress about the encounter (who was nice) and she explained that Hanna already had come to work with a bad attitude. FYI- If you look at Timothy D review you can see this is a common theme at O'Malley's BTW.
The owner was there, therefore I guess my waitress told him about the experience and they took the charge off the bill! Like that was going to make a difference. It was not a money thing, it was an issue with very poor service....... She completely embarrassed us and certainly didn't help the Father's Day mood. Although my waitress was fine she was fairly apathetic to the situation and if the owner was aware of the issue and did not take the time to at least apologize he must have been equally apathetic too or thought I was stealing dressing. My Wife and I talked about it on the way home and decided that unless there is some group thing we need to go to O'Malley's for we will not go out of our way to patronize them again until they find their way back to treating people with respect. this was not just a bad experience, it was an awful one that ultimately for O'Malley's took a good customer and chased them off. In this case you have to hold the owner accountable since this is a common theme with our experiences and judging by other reviews is how they run their business.
Look, I have to say the wings are very good and I can't take that away from them. BUT they have lost their magic, local draw and most importantly the reason they are in business- THE CUSTOMER. I would think the owner might clue into the fact that if multiple people are calling them out on their oh so important "dressing" policy maybe it just might make sense to give enough in the first place.
Jus no so much change in there they always outta weed because i aint got a high plant count. I dont know what happened to the place but its not good they have mildews on the weed to and they dont care about it
After walking by several times, I decided
to give Bingo Burger a chance. I live downtown. I chose to "build my own" and asked for a cheeseburger with fried/grilled onions. I was told by Sarah that they had "glazed onions" which are pre made. I'm not familiar with "glazed onions" and I don't think it sounds very appetizing, since it is pre made. I decided to wait until they weren't busy, as a courtesy, and went in to talk to the manager the following day. He also told me that they would not grill my onions. I happen to believe that the customer is always right. I'm from the East Coast and there is no hesitation to accommodate a customer who wants grilled onions on their cheeseburger. If I'm not permitted to have a burger the way I ordered it, I'm not going back. It's a shame too, because it seemed like a nice place. I'll sooner go to Jack Quinn's for the fish and chips. First time in, i don't know how the drinks are because i was never served. The band sounded good, but after taking a seat at the bar, the staff walked past me twice without so much as an acknowledgement, let alone asking what i wanted to drink. The manager in guessing then took a seat out from behind the bar next to I'm assuming a regular / friend, with his back to me, and proeeded to watch the band. I more than likely won't be returning. Went to finish line, and was served within 3 minutes.
They bullied a bartender who been there for over 15 years for filing a complaint with the State of Colorado over employment practices. The owner was to have said the bartender was "too old". The State said the bar did in fact engage in retaliation which is illegal after someone files a complaint. The bartender was bullied then fired after 6 months for a bogus "infraction".
Avoid this place unless you support discrimination in employment. Bernie would never have stood for that behavior but he passed away and his ex-wife took over. She is none too bright obviously.
Bought contaminated MMJ there 2 times, both times was visiting the store. Watch out for the ( Dizzy sensations accompanied with Anxiety, Depression, Agitation, Mood swings, Ringing in ears, Ill body feelings ) Lasts for hours.. Go to Emerald City Wellness!
The employees are very sweet and knowledgeable and they do have a few items that unfortunately other stores do not. However, a large percentage have been there for years (the bolt ends are dated) and the owner is completely condescending and degrading to both customers and employees. He also saves an uncomfortable amount of personal information for who knows what..... A fabric store should be warm friendly and creative and while I prefer to support local businesses, his is one I will not!!!!!
This article is wrong, and no research was done. The Independent is brown nosing an advertiser. The above review has to be a fluke. I'm disappointed the Independent would tout them as reliable, without doing any research (just google "Denver, news, hidden camera, Aspen auto clinic". We've taken cars there twice, and both times were a scam. One time they stripped our oil pan screw and then tried to say it was like that. It never leaked until after that point. They wanted to charges us around 250$ for a new oil pan, and another mechanic re-threaded the hole for 120$. They caused it. Another issue, they wanted 800$ to replace the radiator, actual cost 420$. Another issue, we told them something was wrong with the right front axle joint, they agreed, wanted to fix it. Never was an issue, 3 mechanics have all cleared it since. This is a bad business. Beware, do some homework..
Maggies in Manitou sort of gives you the feeling like you are waiting to be called for the results of your VD test.
The whole place feels like a shameful place where you are doing something shameful. BLECHH.All sort of lot lizards just outside too. There is a new rec shop in Manitou that is DA BOMB- GO there.They looked at everything Maggies was doing and DID THE OPPOSITE!
Reminds me of being arrested, the people in the sales room or pushy rude and came across as all they cared about was getting your money pushing you out the door. My brother was here from out of state and I wanted him to see what it was like going to a medical marijuana shop. I found myself afterwards telling him this is nothing nothing like any of the other shops I have ever went to. I will never walk through that door again or any other Maggies farms !

The selection is wonderful, the yarn is everything from fine to bulky, acrylic to mohair, the store smells like a mildew basement but I can even call that character...
But the help, has much to be desired. I've been here a few times and every time it has been rude, seemed more worried about their precious stash than running a business, and after my last experience I decided I would happily pay a little more for the same thing for a smile and a respectful employee who was willing to help me.
I picked out several skeins of alpaca yarn, went to pay and their machine was not reading my card (I had used it not 5 minutes earlier to get gas and lunch) and I suggested typing in the number. She glared at me and said no that charges me when your card comes back declined and I'm guessing it will having this many problems reading it and then I'm out 2$. She then proceeded to tell me where an ATM is and how I need to go get cash and bring it back to purchase because she doesn't have time to play games with my card. (I've had this happen twice out of the 4 times I decided to grin and bear the help. First time I obliged and went and got cash not having time to go somewhere else)
This last time I said thanks but I will take my business elsewhere or order my yarn needs off line.
Sometimes it's worth it to put your customers first knowing you will reap the rewards of a returning happy customer. Good customer service reaping positive Word of mouth is key to growing mom and pop shops these days especially when there's "mega buy it all here stores" for everything on every other corner.
This was The WORST experience i have ever witnessed in a biker bar ! I saw a bouncer wearing a Kilt Pick up a 5ft tall woman and carry her and drop her for NO reason I was watching the whole thing ! I own 2 such bars in Texas and I have seen & delt with alot of lawsuits ! This one is a huge liability & i hope the woman goes to authorities & a Attorney ! She should also fear for her safety ! I was a witness to it and called the police to let them know i was a witness and live out of state but will come back if needed to STOP this man !
If there was a way to leave a zero star rating I would. They are extremely over priced, I have seen items in the store in horrible condition and not even cleaned being priced for what you can find it brand new at a store. They always switch locations and change the business name as soon as enough people realize they are being ripped off, the store has been the bargain bin and willies treasures previously. They dont offer refunds or anything but yet they dont check whether their items even work or not and quite frequently they dont work and you are stuck with what you bought not working. If you are considering being a vendor and selling things through their store I encourage you to reconsider. The owners wilma and sandra lynch feel that because they own the building they are entitled to take what they want from you. If you do become a vendor at this location I suggest keeping a constant inventory of your things to make sure everything that should be there is still there.
