A 'gateway' drug is the one you started with, so I think a 'gateway' drug must be MILK, you friggin' moron!!!!! Kiss my hindparts!(psssttt. That means my ASS)
Tejon Tech, I dispute you being ANY kind of tech. Being a Tech indicates intelligence, and you have NONE!!! May you rot when Jesus calls for the elect, as you should only be elected to the group of fools. Bite me!!!
So now we know that the big guns are involved along with the local crazies, like the Basic Freedom Defense Fund, Sheriff Maketa and our EPC County Commissioners..... The NRA has the resources to spread lies and misinformation, will they get their way? Hard to say, but whatever happens, Sen. Morse can go to bed at night with a clear conscience. He provided real leadership to address the danger of mass shootings and killing of innocents from people who have not passed a background check and those able to easily purchase high capacity clips. Thank you Sen. Morse for representing the concerns of most people for common sense gun safety measures, rather than those of the special interest gun manufacturers and gun nuts. They will keep us awash in weapons and murders if they intimidate the political system and oppose event the most benign measures.....
The NRA should keep their dumb @$$es out of politics, or anything that involves living people. I say that if you are a member of the NRA, you should realize that they are using YOUR money to recall an elected official that has reached his term limit and will be out of office at the end of the year. If that doesn't upset you, then you are all dumber then we thought.
National polls (note the plural) indicate that 90% of respondents overall and 68% of NRA members support expanded background checks. The legislators in Colorado (unlike Congress) did the unimaginable - - listened to their constituents. What a concept!
It's always a pleasure to see those who have make decisions about the lives of those who do not. Our city needs to take more time to discuss with those who are less fortunate about how to help them. It could be they do not want help, or they want help in a different manner.
Instead we try to pass laws to force them into shelters, that many do not want to be in for various reasons, and that is within their right. Or these same laws are used to force them out of sight, or place them into the industrial incarceration system.
Ask those who are homeless how they are treated, and you will see how they are treated.
Vote them out..We are going the worng direction. Bach is a prohibitionist, which is as backward as you can get. When one will not open their eyes, or lend their ears to the truth, how can you count on them to lead us in liberty, and help to create properity, and jobs?
The governments in our cities need to relax, and allow for the recreational or medical marijuana shops. The same old prohibitionist mentality, which is driven by the fears instilled in us for years by the lies of our government, is keeping people from knowing and seeing the truth about marijuana.
Business will always be self limiting, based on consumer demand, and economics.
To Catherine, I say this, I love Manitou Springs. Manitou Speings should not worry about allowing marijuana retailers. The size, and space available in Manitou Springs will limit how many businesses, regardless of what they sell. I would also say, based on the polls being taken across our nation, that the majority will have no problem seeing a marijuana retailer.
Ron...this is a strictly gay agenda driven rag...no way would do something as fair and balanced as that.
I wonder if CSIndy will announce any events for the recall effort.
I sure hope little Stevie Bach's wife doesn't find out about his licentious affair with Phil Anschutz.
Have to agree that the entire town of Manitou wouldn't be the same for the residents or visitors if there are no limits to pot shops - I prefer a mix and balance of businesses and visitors.
It makes sense that in a conservative and Chrisitan city, where generosity is a primary value, that there would be the services to support and thus attract more and more of those whose resources and hope are running on empty.
Good...Morse is a large scale disaster and warrants a large scale solution removing him from public 'service'.
Running for any office in particular or just:
"Elected Official At Large"
Thought of the day..................
I'm loco, I wonder if Staci will vote for me?
Let's keep John Morse in office. Volunteer to help keep local politics local!

Awesome, more support for the cause !!
If someone handed me that rag of a paper I would firstly assume I would not be able to have an intelligent conversation with anyone in a town that depended on that as its news source.
Then I would actually just head straight for the counter to buy a one way ticket back out of town.
Not good for Bach to make a connection between himself in that half baked 'we don't have reporters in the budget' advertising circular.
Re: “Mayor Bach: Recreational marijuana is 'public-safety issue'”
Notice how Bach rhymes with COCK??? And dumb as a ROCK???
