Re: “Prosecutor stuck with lifetime debt for collecting pension

Would be interesting if Mr. Zook found out if the employees at the Sheriff's Office that returned from retirement to work for Sheriff Elder had to pay back the retirement benefits they received.

LMAO- Milo Yiannopoulos Disinvited From Conservative Confab, Loses Book Deal
Gay alt-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos has been disinvited from the Conservative Political Action Conference after videos surfaced of him defending sex between men and boys and making light of the sexual assault of women.
The videos have also cost him a book contract with Simon & Schuster and are threatening his position with conservative website Breitbart. KARMA IS A BITCH!!!

Re: “Prosecutor stuck with lifetime debt for collecting pension

Something is very wrong with this! The fact that Dan received no notification from the Plan about return to work clause is unacceptable!! Was his wife notified? Did she sign a waiver? I think the Plan, the county commissioners and whatever powers that be need to look at how retirees are notified about retirement, return to work policy and how it affects the spouse! This should not be happening to someone who put in nearly 30 years for El Paso county!!!!

Re: “Prosecutor stuck with lifetime debt for collecting pension

One thing not in the article is that Dan was Prosecutor of the year in 2004, the first from El Paso County in state history.

Re: “Bernie Sanders' "supervolunteers" want to form a new progressive party

"Bernie would have won"??? These folks aren't just drinking the Kool Aid, they're bathing in it. I hope this article is true, though, and Sanders actually sucks more power away from the loony left by forming his own party. That will absolutely guarantee a GOP stronghold on power for the next 16 years--at LEAST.

Re: “Prosecutor stuck with lifetime debt for collecting pension

This is a classic example of El Paso Countys infamous diversion tactic! A classic example of a retiree, in this case, getting screwed by El Paso County. Its a County Retirement Plan anyone in their right mind would expect that the Commissioners would have some oversight of that plan, but yet Commissioner Littleton plays the typical no one told me card and County Attorney Amy Folsom, a woman who should not have a license to practice law, plays interference for the Commissioners because she has no other real value; just like her girlfriend Diana May. Nevertheless, where is the accountability? Again, its an El Paso County Retirement Plan and our sleazy Commissioners dont have oversight? No one is being educated on how the plan works? Something isnt making sense there!

We all know that CFAO Nicola Sapp has her hands in the Retirement Plan. Will she be held accountable for this major flaw? Could this be another example of her stupidity and evidence of being unqualified for a CFAO job? What the heck is going on with El Paso County? No retiree should be faced with this! They shouldnt get railroaded by a retirement plan put in place through the government entity for which they devoted years of their lives.

Oh my word, we have a dirty Sheriff and Undersheriff, a dirty District Attorney, sexual predators in the workplace, people in jobs for which they are not qualified, and a board full of dirty Commissioners led by none other than Darryl Short Short Man Glenn. No wonder this County is a laughing stock!

Re: “Suppression is the goal of many 'free speech zones'

Typically these zones are designated by considering things like safety, impact on public thoroughfares and passage, business impacts, and security. This has been done by and affecting organizations of all political persuasions for decades.

CSIReader:

Apparently only "leftist violence" is a problem for you. Double standard, of course.

Re: “Suppression is the goal of many 'free speech zones'

From a safety perspective it makes sense to keep demonstrators and supporters from being too close to one another, especially since leftist violence has been rampant of late.

Re: “The resurgence of the radical left raises questions

The author did not "equate" anarchists with communists and socialists. He merely pointed out that groups who self-identified as anarchists, communists, and socialists, were working together. Apparently, the theoretical differences between these groups does not matter as much to them as it does to you, Mr. Tannim.

Furthermore, the original Anarchists (with a capital 'A') constituted a movement whose main political tactic was to assassinate politicians, often using bombs to take out as many as possible. They were hooligans and proud of it, and I think the Communists are offended that you did not call them hooligans as well.

Finally, classic Anarchists, Communists, and Socialists all have this in common: they all agree that progressive change can only come from the Working Class defeating the Ruling Class and dismantling the capitalist system. Communists also believe that their political system will lead eventually to a "withering away of the state." In other words, their ultimate goal is identical with the Anarchists' goal. They just think it cannot be forced or done immediately, but will take time.

Re: “Sheriff's Office's "fight club" results, and two inmates deaths

Fight Club? Reynolds was found unresponsive by another inmate (not sure any other inmates had something to with it considering Reynolds child abuse charge) the other was being transported back to jail from the hospital when the officer noticed he was in distress. Not sure how these two incidents correlate to a couple deputy's vying for the most "use of force" incidents? In typical DNC-style news stories, its blame now ask questions (i.e. discover the facts) later.
