Uh how much more in depth do you need. THERE WONT BE ANY MORE APPROVED FOR 6 MONTHS. That's the depth of it.
Please go more in depth about the moratorium. I don't care about the other stuff you wrote
Join the party. Tuesday-Saturday with new hours 10am-Midnight @ America's Original Cannabis Club: www.StudioA64.com. Your home for cannabis rights, politics, parties and more.
Keep fighting the good fight KC! I'll add, thats a great logo on your shirt ;)
Peace and love,
KC For President! ;) good luck on your new adventures!
After 990 days, I leave Studio A64 in the hands of my fellow patriots and partners, Capt. Abner "Voodoo" Marrero, Janine "J9" Lee Choung, the new managing partner, Ambur Rose.
I will depart for a national tour to work with legislators, activist, and fellow patriots to end cannabis prohibition across this great nation.
Studio A64 was founded by cannabis rights advocate, KC Stark, and singer songwriter, Greg Benson. Studio A64 opened its doors on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14th, 2013 in the historical downtown district of Colorado Springs.
Studio A64 quickly became a hub for artists, musicians, comedians, poets, politicians and advocates to meet, practice their art, and petition their government for a more perfect union of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It was not easy.
Studio A64 faced over 79 years of reefer madness and local threats from those in power that didn’t see cannabis consumers as equal. “If we are separate - we are not equal, therefore, we must have a place where Americans can gather and enjoy cannabis.” KC Stark
Over the next few years, Studio A64 and its members faced two public hearings; "I’m not here to beg for your acceptance — I demand it," KC Stark told Council, adding later: "You cannot take away my right, period. You are overstepping your authority.”
Studio A64 went on to win the appeals with planning and zoning (7-2) and city council approval (5-3.)
"On April 22, 2014, the City Council heard and denied the City of Colorado Springs Administration's appeal," wrote Peter Wysocki, the head of Planning. "The Notice and Order [to cease and desist] has been overturned and Studio A64 is no longer required to comply with the stipulations set forth therein."
Together, we did the impossible! Winning against all odds in historical fashion Studio A64 become America’s 1st licensed and approved Cannabis Club!
On September 22, 2015, Colorado Springs’ City Council passed a moratorium on new cannabis clubs in Colorado Springs (7-2) and and therefore grandfathering Studio A64 into the history books once again.
Today, I salute you! Without you, this would be for not. You, me, and we the people that make this nation great. Thank you for joining us.
Welcome to the Benevolent Order of the Buffalo, Studio A64.
America’s Original Cannabis Club - Inhale Responsibly!
thanks for the memories. it's been a long time in the making. soon, we shall end prohibition and set this nation on a new path of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I was half-listening to this last night, I was under the impression they removed the portion concerning MMJ and strictly put a moratorium on cannabis consumption clubs?
The County Commissioners are against marijuana and have no reason to be working against it. There appointments to the County Health Board are all anti marijuana. They seem to be silently working against the citizens vote.
great article. thanks. the times are a'changing.

Dont mean to be negative nancy but the marijuana dispesing game legit wise is terribly expensive, license fees upon rules and regulations, taxes the list goes on and on. Laws are meant to be followed, wanna sell marijuana/hash? Get a license to sell marijuana like the other 900 or so licensed dispensaries in the state. Dont cut corners- get license- period. I will say A64 club is the one needle in the haystack. And should be the ideal model for clubs across the state. At least they follow the rules and have been since they opened, kudos to that!!
thanks for the support, Luke. we appreciate all the work you and AOM have done. keep up the good work.
A64 is legit, the other clubs are selling marijuana, no packaging requirements, no oversite, no grow requirements, no hash production requirements, nothing that all the dispensaries have to follow as far as rules and reggulations. No license fees and you CAN be a felon. So so soooooooo unfair to the people really trying to play by the rules(dispensary owners). I hope he does crack down, this has gone on wayyyyy too long, there is a reasin the clubs
are banned in other cities
I find it especially appalling that the Mayor refused to comment to the public about his plans. The top public servant refuses to explain himself to his Masters. I propose a new law… one that requires every public employee who draws their paycheck out of the public coffers to wear a butler/maid uniform. Maybe we all need a constant visual reminder of what their job title actually is beneath all the legal mumbo-jumbo.
