This is great news........I never thought John would make it thru his troubled past. Thank you, Indy, for this report!
A really incredible voice, deserves a lot more recognition. If you get the chance to see her, go. You won't be disappointed.
An inteligent, interesting woman, with a unique voice, making interesting and beautiful music.
got that dumb jazz coverage out of the way for another year.
Thanks, Charlie! Great set by you guys, too!
Great article, Colin!
awesome music coverage by the Indy. What would we do without it?
I had the great good fortune to hear ItsaRealLight speak at the "We are Women" gathering. What a talented woman she was and a real inspiration, too. I am so sorry to hear of her passing but she leaves the world a better place simply because she was here and shared her gifts.
Such a beautiful soul gone to soon! But, God makes no mistakes!! Til we meet again my friend. Love you!
Loring, an amazing article about an amazing woman. Thank you so much and thanks to the Independent newspaper.
I haven't cried, i couldn't cry until I read this....i love you sis. Long talks over the phone sharing your emotional pain with me while I endured my own in the sorrowful hills of Pennsylvania. I heard you, you felt me a sisterhood as I watched you grow from Natasha Spence to ItsRealLight, from silly sleep overs to stages and bright lights. Peace Love and Light my friend...you will sing again on that great getting up morning. Who could ever forget........
Love Light, miss Light alot. ***tears
Was there...it was cool
Spoken like a true friend and with the clarity and precision of dedicated music historian Darian.
Thanks Darian Sahanaja! I watched the documentary showing your total involvement and encouragement in getting Brian to finally complete, produce and bring Smile to the world. You are very dedicated and obviously a close friend.
Love the Don Henley story.
It's Wondermints. Not "The" Wondermints.
I can't believe that I will be able to shake his hand in a couple weeks and thank him for all his music and his story has done for my life.
The late Terry Melcher may have summed up best when observing that if Brian Wilson had lived in the 1700's, he'd have been revered as one of the greatest musical geniuses that ever lived. Unfortunately, he existed in our disposable era when stardom is fleeting and celebrity is acknowledged with little or no thought.
