Re: “Open and slut

I saw many messages attempting to be portrayed in this festival announcement. If you selected "rape", fine for you. Do not pretend that I see things as you do and then admonish me for it. Seems as though you might be overly sensitive.

Re: “Open and slut

You don't have to hate men to not want to be raped by one, smartestman. That's quite a flying leap of (not) logic.

Re: “Open and slut

I'm wondering if men are welcome at the "man-hater" festival?

Re: “The great puppet maker

How lucky for Colorado Springs! David Simpich's performances are spellbinding and top-notch. We used to eagerly await his visits to Atlanta so we could see him perform at the Center for Puppetry Arts. The impact of the beauty and the meaning of his shows still resonates within us. We may have to fly out to see him again one of these days. Thanks for this article that explained when and why he stopped touring with his shows.

Re: “King Lear

If you don't own a Lear you are NUTS!! He's going to be an international star at some point, and the same can be said for Chris Alvares and Brett Andrus.. Thes guys are phenoms. A very well written article I might add, you captured Phil with great articulation! -Tweeds

Re: “King Lear

I'm another lucky owner of a painting by King Lear. To be a full-time artist, a capitalist entrepreneur if you will, is a risky life choice, but Lear has everything he needs to succeed handsomely. It's no surprise that the Indy would think he merits a feature article and a gorgeous cover to boot. This artist's work is above and beyond anything else you'll see on gallery walls. So buy while he's still affordable.

Re: “King Lear

Phil Lear is an artist that will be talked about and collected for ever. He is a rare and amazing talent. I am honored to own one of his pieces and I wish I could afford to have many many more of them.

Re: “King Lear

Nicely written spotlight on a clearly talented, up and coming artist.

Re: “House art

not sure where you got the 'DJ' in 'DJ Tall City', since not only am I not a character on Full House, I also will not be a 'DJ' tomorrow. You've been watching so much TV you are hearing voices.

Re: “Big fish in a small pond

It was a great show, they swapped stories and well cussed like "sailors". They did a meet and greet after the show, which was awesome. Got to get up close and personal with them. Is and will always be one of my favorite shows.

Re: “Feeding Frenzy

I knew a Charles Rockey, artist, that lived in Chicago, when I was a kid. And he was from Colorado. Could this possibly be the same guy? Very hard to tell by the pictures as I was about 16 and he maybe 28. That would make him about 82 now. Could this be? He was an excellent, unrecognised artist at the time. I was intrigued by his picture about alcoholism.......
a person trying to exit the bottle. If it is our "Rockey" I'd love to hear from him. Please pass on my email address, or let me know how I can get in touch with him. Thanks, Gloria Russell
