Re: “So how much is a hospital worth?

Doug is just jealous. He wishes public employees would squirm, acquiesce and kiss his feet like they do David Jenkins.

Re: “City Council seeks volunteer food policy advisors

I'm leery of the intentions of the FPAB since reading Gaebler's guest column in the Gazette in Feb in which she wrote that there should be a food store within a 10-minute walking distance of every resident in COS. Is this loopy idea typical of what the FPAB will be promoting?

Agree that local food producers are fighting an uphill battle against Big Bad Ag. The locals, such as Mike Callicrate of Ranch Foods Direct, need help, but do they need the "help" of the FPAB? Callicrate and his board are moving forward on making the Public Market a reality and when the doors finally open, the Market will be the catalyst that will make all kinds of good things happen in the local food world. The best city govt can do is clear the roadblocks and keep out of the way of the doers and entrepreneurs like Callicrate and his merry band of food enthusiasts.

Before worrying about anyone else's properties, Doug might consider getting his own properties in order. Here's a fine example of his ongoing felonious activities:…

Re: “City Council seeks volunteer food policy advisors

Have to agree Staci. With our basic infrastructure priorities, why is council sticking their noses into this subject? One clue is that its the Jan Martin clone, Jill Gaebler. Never enough nannies in the progressive nanny state.

Re: “City Council seeks volunteer food policy advisors

Look at the streets. Do we need city government involved in the food chain?

Re: “Shop around Colorado Springs

Three businesses listed for Old Colorado City? When most of the Independent Best of Categories are ranked in Old Colorado City? You have the best local Restaurants, local Artists, a great Comic and Collectables store, Custom Jewelers, a Gaming Shop, Lorig's Western wear, Children's Clothing, a year round Holiday Shop and my shop Podiatryst Shoe Salon(#2 shoe store in the Best of 2014). Where were your writers, at their desks?

Re: “So how much is a hospital worth?

Bruce was persecuted by the Gazette for owing $7500 in taxes. At the same time, the assessed value of Jenkins newly acquired property was reduced by $1.8M, which reduced the tax due. Which one is the tax evader?

From a Gazette article 4.4.14: "Centura Health, St. Francis' parent company, confirmed the sale. But Centura spokesman Johnny Rea declined to identify the buyer, why the price was a fraction of the property's market value or other details. That prohibition against discussing the deal was part of the sale contract - although Rea said he couldn't discuss why." The details were to be kept secret. Why?

If $2.5M is the cost of rehabbing St. Francis, why not demolish this not particularly beautiful building and erect a condo skyscraper? Are skyscrapers to be permitted only in and around the to-be-built stadium?

Re: “Restorative justice, taxes, food criticism, global warming, and more

Mr Lowery doesn't consider anything an investment, only theft. It's his type of "logic" aka, compulsive/obsessive selfishness, that has turned this city to a laughing stock.

Re: “Maybe next next year for progressives

" How many more months or years of legislative sessions will it take before everything is rendered illegal or regulated? "

Re: “Maybe next next year for progressives

I see logic is not your strong suit. Let me see if I can make it simple enough for you. Your original statement complains about the government regulating "everything," yet you are actually so in love with government regulations that you do not mind when the intention is to wipe out women's rights.

Re: “Tyler Durden returns

Exactly what is it about Tyler Durden and/or the Fight Club that is attracting these scam artists to this blog?

Re: “Maybe next next year for progressives

Did I say anti-abortion laws are the "most objectionable?" Seems to me all I said was the anti-abortion laws exposed the hypocrisy of your political position. However, it does not surprise me in the least that you are trying to change the subject.

Right-wing reactionaries value "human life" only as far as they can exploit it for personal gain. They oppose abortion rights and contraception rights only because they want access to cheap labor.

Re: “Tyler Durden returns

How i got my boyfriend back.Am Stacey Bruno by name I never believed in love spells or magic until I met this spell caster once when i went to see my friend in Indian this year on a business summit. I meant a man who's name is Dr ATILA he is really powerful and could help cast spells to bring back one's gone, lost, misbehaving lover and magic money spell or spell for a good job or luck spell .I'm now happy & a living testimony cos the man i had wanted to marry left me 5 weeks before our wedding and my life was upside down cos our relationship has been on for 3years. I really loved him, but his mother was against us and he had no good paying job. So when i met this spell caster, i told him what happened and explained the situation of things to him. At first i was undecided, skeptical and doubtful, but i just gave it a try. And in 7 days when i returned to Canada, my boyfriend (now husband) called me by himself and came to me apologizing that everything had been settled with his mom and family and he got a new job interview so we should get married. I didn't believe it cos the Dr ATILA only asked for my name and my boyfriends name and all i wanted him to do. Well we are happily married now and we are expecting our little kid, and my husband also got the new job and our lives became much better. His email is:

Re: “Maybe next next year for progressives

It doesn't surprise me in the least that leftist progressives would find laws protecting human life to be the most objectionable.
