Re: “The Little Market lives again, and a Cambodian food truck launches

Hi James,
Totally understood. That's one of the challenges of us being a weekly paper — when news comes in on a Wed., Thurs., or Fri. and we're waiting to hit racks again on the following Wednesday. We'll often put up teasers on the blog ahead of time, and in this case, best I can say is I and the INDY had tweeted it late last week. Please follow us both on Twitter and Facebook and hopefully we'll get you the word ahead of time on the next event you're interested in.

Would have loved to know about the meeting on July 13th before the article was published on July 13th.

I was excited about this until I checked out their menu. Just 1 vegetarian option? :(

Re: “Meet Cockpit Craft Distillery; Bonny and Read finally ready to open

The local building folks need to get a clue these people require you to over-engineer everything now so costs have skyrocketed and it takes months to get anything accomplished.

Re: “Cacao Chemistry to reestablish a dessert bar downtown, Underground changes hands

Brewer's Republic and Underground are (were?) great places. However, I question their business practices based on changes made in the first few days/weeks of ownership. On day 1 they increased all drink prices by 8.25% by adding tax to the list price of any drinks. Food prices also increased. No more happy hour food specials (used to be half price pizza and appetizers until 6pm). No more buy 10 get 1 free drink cards. The lights in the Underground are like sun lamps turned to their highest levels and instead of music you get to listen to television shows. Good luck.

Re: “Meet the Lincoln School's baker

Bread as it should be! Slowly rising and made of freshly milled grains. I have a feeling many people will try it once and never go back to commercially made bread.

Thanks Adam for letting us know about Lucy I'm Home — wasn't yet on our radar.

Re: “New Abuela's Cuban Bistro food truck to debut soon

Congratulations to the 2nd Cuban Food Truck to come along in Colorado Springs. My family and I are anxious to try the menu. How lucky are we Cubans in Colorado Springs to have not 1, but 2, Cuban food trucks here in town. If Abuelo's is even close to as good as the "Lucy Im Home" food truck, we are all the richer. Viva la Cuba!

Re: “Red Gravy, a modern Italian eatery, replaces Lucha Cantina downtown

Checking in with chef Brenner this morning, he says he wasn't able to hit his goal of opening by today, but currently thinks he may be able to hit a Monday Jan. 11 launch day. We'll update as needed.

Re: “A campaign for a vegan cafe that leaves many questions

Mathew is a liar! Please view the entire story on their website. He is a small town writer trying to make it big with twisting stories into lies! He should work for the national enquirer.

He pretends to be a food critic while destoying new restaurants with his twisted lies. He has no training to be a food critic but still poses as one.

He is be sued for pretending to be someone he is not.

Re: “Warehouse closes, Green Line back open, and 2South’s new chef

He just up and left with notice? What a total and complete ass.
At least when the Craftwood closed and left me unemployed I got a text message and they closed because they ran out of money.
