Re: “Local masseuse uses cannabis oil to ease clients' pains

I was dumbfounded when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. I couldnt believe that at age 44, after lifelong vigilance about my health and steadfastly showing up for regular mammograms and sonograms, I not only had cancer, but it had metastasized throughout my bones. I had bought into the battle cry for early detection and tried to practice it. How could this be?
Pain in my hand, neck and back, not a lump in my breast, got me to the hospital for an MRI. By the time my cancer was detected, the horse was out of the barn and surgery to remove it was no longer an option. Not wanting to travel, I was lucky to be able to take treatment at a clinic on Long Island near my home. Being ER and PR positive, at their direction I had my ovaries removed to reduce the estrogen in my body. I began an aromatase inhibitor to slow the progression of the disease and medication to reduce or delay bone damage from the cancer.

Its been a rough road and along the way I have tried to expand my options by exploring ways to supplement my traditional medical treatments, because i have been told about cannabis oil and how it has save many life. i order the oil via email: healthycannabisoil@gmail.com and it was delivered over to me and i can tell the world that i am now a cancer survivor.

Re: “Prepping your first-time camper

Summer Camp is so important, it gets kids outside and away from their screens. Yet, as parents, we all want to be sure our kids are safe. Any camp you select especially Overnight Camps should be accredited by the ACA, they check over 300 camp items. I know I own Swift Nature Camp http://swiftnaturecamp.com

Re: “DayBreak rejuvenates caregivers and their loved ones

I'm one of the caregivers who has been so blessed in being able to both give my brain-injured husband a safe and structured environment to enjoy while I benefit from turning off that constant "on" mode and take time for something for "me." Paula and DayBeak and Markaya are true blessings and much needed for our community. Thank you!

Re: “Support unique local stores with your gift giving this season

Disappointed to see you didn't include http://wwwkoffeekompanions.com in this section because online businesses based in Colorado Springs are also "local." They distribute profits to many local businesses who are vendors or are featured in Koffee Kompanions blog at http://www.koffeekompanions.com/blog-cozyc…. Anyone who drinks coffee, tea, or other beverages will benefit from keeping them hot or cold with cup wraps, caps, and cozies for takeout cups, coffee mugs, French presses, and teapots from this premier provider--in business since 1996.

Black Forest Animal Sanctuary is very proud to be able to bring dogs like Joey from death row and provide them with a purpose. Like helping veterans like Travis.

Re: “The First Tee develop opportunities for young athletes

As a volunteer Coach and Mentor in my third year at The First Tee of the Pikes Peak Region, I have had the pleasure of seeing a metamorphosis (if you will) in the attitudes and critical thing of our kids as they embrace the Core Values. I am honored to be a part of this adventure in cultivating our youth.

Re: “The First Tee develop opportunities for young athletes

Love to see the emphasis on programs that not only develop the athlete but the character of the young person as well!

Re: “The First Tee develop opportunities for young athletes

Thank you for spotlighting The First Tee of Pikes Peak and it's impact on the young people of Colorado Springs. As someone who has interacted with the chapter board and staff, I can share that the participants and parents are in good hands. Thanks again for highlighting the work that Leighton Smith and the support coaches are providing. If this is your first time learning of the program and facility I highly encourage you to visit the Indoor Learning Center this winter season.

Re: “Medical and recreational dispensaries, cannabis resources in the Pikes Peak region

Maggie's farms is racist towards Jews. I went 2 this dispensary in manitou & got an 8th of a flower strain called juicy fruit. I smoked it & went to throw the container away - I always peel off my labels & written below in gold paint pen, like they've done on every container I've had, was the words Jewish fruit.. idk if they were making fun of the fact they thought I looked Jewish or calling me a fruit thinking I looked gay, maybe combo of the 2. I spoke to mngmt & 2nd in command said he fired the guy, then laughed at me when I said this could be a big legal prob. Please don't vote 4 or shop at any maggies

Re: “Millibo Art Theatre's founders risk all in the name of original productions, and creating a lasting legacy

I moved to the Springs five months ago. As soon as I arrived, I enrolled my grandkids in the Millibo's summer camps. From the moment I stepped into this wonderful theater I felt at home. Everyone there has welcomed me as a volunteer and a friend. They have made my new adventure that much more fun and enjoyable. Margaret

Re: “Millibo Art Theatre's founders risk all in the name of original productions, and creating a lasting legacy

I have performed at the MAT, and seen many shows there. Jim Jackson and Birgitta Depree are two of the hardest working , most talented people doing theater in Colorado Springs. They are also two of the most giving, and loving people I have ever met. They are super human. I don't know how they do it, but I am eternally grateful that they do. - Charlie Ammen
