Lame...$250,000 spent to educate each of these guys and they can't raise anymore money than this, or come up with a more fundable project, or look both ways before they cross the street...I believe they could file fraud charges against CC if that is all the got for their money.
I have read all the comments above and find a majority of them attacking the Mayor's position and using suspect personal life issues (unconfirmed) as a basis for throwing rocks at his position against both recreational mmj. It seems shallow to not address the specifics of A64 and its impact on the local economy rather than the Mayor Bachs comments. Medical Marijuana is alive and well in the Springs and although it would be beneficial for my interest to support its passage, I choose not to . I beleive that we have enough dispensaries in Colorado Springs and increasing the number for recreational mmj centers to be opened after the "grace period" for mmj owners to apply for a duplicative cost for a "sister" operation (recreational mmj) is totally mind boggling.
We have Doctors for mmj referrals for those that pass the litmus test.We have a group of dispensary owners as well that follow the rules and actually have patient care in mind. I beleive we have can take two views on this and let the popular vote of Colorado Springs prevail after a public vote. Like I have voiced before, let Denver have A64 and we can watch the impact from here. Then and only then can we make an educated and informed decision.
They can be the business model that will reflect in time the benefits of A64 to us and then we choose to either remain in the MMJ regulatory framework with the 100+ dispensaries that deserve (and should be allowed) "Grandfather Clause" rights so we dont get the supply and demand chain out of balance and allow the biggest money (i.e., Denver interests) in A64 to drive these people out microeconomically .
Wake up Colorado Springs!!
Keep our existing and tax paying Dispensaries "grandfathered" in and you will gain their support and not confuse them with the A64 "new kids on the block" Another issue I must point out is that the public is not awareof; but our bread and butter comes from the "military machine" and not the "marijuana machine". Postpone..Postpone ... and watch..People who have access to mmj are doing just fine. Medical Marijuana is alive and well.
Once again government looks to rescind the will of the people. Back, please remove your head from your ass.
So the "conservatives" want the taxpayers to spend $150,000 of taxpayer money for a foolish election when Morse has only 1 more year to serve. You might not like Morse's positions, but that is not enough of a reason to recall him!
Anyone But Hickenlooper is my bumper sticker...right next to my Impeach Obama bumper sticker, which is right next to my "My Pit-bull can chew your honor student's butt" bumper sticker.
Firstly, men dying their hair is plain silly and looks like they can't handle the truth about themselves.
I bet there are people living up above that road who don't like this plan.
But Bach is bought...and Anshutz, when he finishes paying off Michael Jackson's mother for killing her son, will still have the money left to force this issue.
So with Rampart Range Road open back up in Garden of the Gods?
Rod - I'm color blind so I don't know what unnatural color is.
I suspect "your guy" looked a lot better than "my boy" during the election, for you and too few others anyway. Other than his "Refer Madness" stance on cannabis, I think he is performing reasonably well. Don't forget his 70% approval rating (outside of Indy readership anyway).
Yeah, Siggie, my guy looks a hell of a lot better than your boy these days. At least he doesn't dye his hair an unnatural color.
HFCS is a type of sugar called Fructose.
The problem with Fructose is that ONLY the liver can metabolize this form of sugar. The end result is that the liver stores this substance and is what causes Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).
Table sugar is Sucrose (cane sugar, aka Domino, et al), which is metabolized by most organs in the body and thus does NOT contribute to NAFLD.
EITHER form of sugar (and starches like wheat) will spike the blood sugar, which triggers the pancreas to pump out Insulin to deal with all that sugar, and the excess insulin is then laid down in belly fat. All of this is explained in the book Wheat Belly.
Pick you poison....sugars....wheats...alcohols....bananas....orange juice... and get your diabetes pills cheaply at wal-mart, probably sooner than later.
To bad this organ grinding, wife beating fool does not keep mum on other subjects.
Aimee Cox is smart, energetic, and efficient...good choice for our city I would say.
Let me guess little Rodnie, I bet you voted for little Richie Skorman.
If ya can't beat 'em, buy 'em off, right Stevie?
The Broadmoor has been applying massive amounts of grease for the last six months to make sure its plan to screw the neighbors goes thru without a hitch. Why do you think Anschutz' minions spent a small fortune to elect Keith King to Council? Citizens ought to ask little Stevie Bach why he doesn't have an opinion and yet thinks that "This is going to be a very thorough process?" What a weasel.
She still is just not on the payroll.
i'm sure the homeland security will help bolster the defenses against the populace if requested. the guise of looking for fires is a good idea.
the loopy one. "after all we're only human, anyone can make a mistake". comments by the loopy one about the fire his arson squad started that ended the lives of two elderly persons. resulting in no jail time or job loss. the drinking of "fracking fluid" to prove it's harmlessness. after the drinking of his own beer, how could anyone tell? when one sits back and looks at the "accomplishments" of the loopy one, one can only hope and pray someone steps up and replaces this fool.
