Re: “Mayor Bach: Recreational marijuana is 'public-safety issue'

It was my understanding that legalizing pot meant tax revenue that this city & state desperately needs. Much like alcohol already is. As the mayor is not adverse to taking a drink, even tho many people would not approve. It is not now up to the mayor to regulate due to his own moral objection. He simply does not have to smoke as others chose not to drink any alcohol. And leave the Springs it's revenue stream.

Re: “Mayor Bach: Recreational marijuana is 'public-safety issue'

The man has an extremely questionable background of domestic abuse, questionable business practices, prior extortion attempts and other miscellaneous character flaws but people vote him anyway.

Re: “Mayor Bach: Recreational marijuana is 'public-safety issue'

"... the citizens oughta (sic) be able to weigh in on this...".
The citizens have already weighed-in on this.
Why are they comparing this to porn? A much closer comparison would be alcohol. I don't particularly care for pot and drink very little. I would much rather see the citizens ingesting cannabis than drinking alcohol.
I think the mayor might just be drunk on "Refer Madness".

The Mayor appears to have his mind set to ban sale and use. What do you think? Very quick two question on-line survey. Thank you.

Re: “So sue me, Bach says

Low Energy Streetlights are really exquisite and cost effective - particularly for a city forecast to have flat revenues for the next decade; partially due to no real job creation. The former Springs economic development director, one of Mr. Bach's first 'push outs' is just flat kicking it in Reno. Strong national companies: Google and Apple among others. Jobs !

The management style referenced in this article: working?

Re: “So sue me, Bach says

I think it's time to change the city charter back to the old system and get rid of Bach and his pompous cronies. This is what happens when we elect someone with no political experience and no social skills. Hit the road, Bach, and take your Stepford wife with you.

Re: “Crimestoppers: We need you.

Why don't you ask your good friend, Mayor Bach, if you can borrow one of his downtown surveillance cameras?

I hope they clean Simone's misbehavior here up....it is like a hostile takeover of the Indy to p[ost something of no interest on every discussion page. I am offended and await her apology.

Re: “Have a say in oil and gas leasing of Pike forest

Why should this be a surprise...the Obama regime is corrupt and covert.

Revealed in the last 5 days...the Justice department is bugging AP phones, the IRS is harassing Obama opponents, and four people died because protecting them went against the liberal narrative that terrorism has been defeated.

So holding public hearings where there is no public makes perfect sense.

Re: “About that in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants ...

Siggie...its over! The liberals are giving America back to the Mexicans, at our expense using our tax dollars, and buying votes for re-election.

If we broke the law like the illegals, the goons at the CSPD would be hunting us down. But if you are an approved minority group, you can break the law and be rewarded...remember these students will get a monthly welfare check, foot stamps, and a free cell-phone.

Hickenlooper is the worst thing that has ever happened to this state...and his ego has run away with him thinking he can be president...fool.

What a phony post. The liberals are running the country into the ground. Meanwhile Mexico is reclaiming "their" country without even firing a shot.

Re: “UPDATE: Motorcycle group leader not giving up on Captain Jack's

Is there going to be any ongoing trail maintenance? I've been up there during some large washouts and luckily there were groups of OHV funded people fixing the issues. Some ruts were a foot across and about a foot and a half deep (and ran for several hundred feet). Is the "Center for Biological Diversity" going to show us metrics here in the next several years regarding the explosive growth of the fish or? Chances are, they aren't going to stick around do anything. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I've ridden the trail for over 25 years so I know it backwards and forwards; luckily I've recorded it with my GoPro camera because I knew eventually they would find a way to close it.
