Love the station, but here are my reason's why the Station is struggling to gain a larger percentage of listeners (below the Christian stations for Christs (pun intended) sake!):
1) Afternoon on air flea market (WTF?)
2) Extremely weak signal, either no bass or no treble depending on distance from Platte location. 1000 watt system and can't get my rear-view mirror to budge.
3) No consistency (what time can I tune in just to hear music? Dunno, which is why I stopped tuning in).
This town has needed a Station of this genre forever. The Beat sucks, Magic sucks. Just like the other rock stations and their 20 song rotations daily. We're in the age of online listening (i.e. Pandora, Spotify), time to step up your game or get to steppin'.

My fellow animal advocates I was so proud of, we ARE making a difference for the voiceless. We don't just talk the talk, we walk the walk.
...figured this myopic, greedy putz would have gotten a job in D.C. with Mango Mussolini's crowd.
Kudos to City Council for its compassion and foresight. Municipalities nationwide have banned stores from selling dogs from puppy mills, but I would go a step further and prohibit sales from any breeder because all of them exacerbate the homeless animal overpopulation crisis. Every puppy purchased from a pet store or breeder denies a home to one waiting in a shelter, one whose life may depend on being adopted. The three dogs who share my home are all rescues. It's the only way to fly.
I'd like to illustrate how others have made much the same mistake as the author of this article just did, so I am quoting the comment I made at the article to which I linked below; Megan Verlee works for Colorado Public Radio:
Megan Verlee: "U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions emphasized to a gathering of states' attorneys general that its still illegal to distribute marijuana across state lines, no matter what laws an individual state passes."
Jeff Sessions: "I would just say, it does remain a violation of federal law to distribute marijuana throughout any place in the United States, whether a state legalizes it or not."
-- a particularly egregious substitution of what any number of people want to believe for reality!
Yes, thank you for reporting on this issue. 8 million pets enter shelters each year. Half of which will never be rehomed and are euthanized. Adopt! Don't shop! The best thing our family ever did was adopt our mini-dachsund from National Mill Dog Rescue. I urge everyone and city council to support adopting this ordinance!
THIS IS NOT A JOKE. TRUST GREAT DR KUMAR. My names are Gina Tom from United States. Great Dr Kumar is really powerful and knows how to do his job perfectly. If not for him i could not imagine what would have happened. My ex was always picking up an argument with me and was always beating me. He started acting strange and funny and left me for no cause for another girl. I thought all hope was gone. I searched for help on the internet and i came across Great Dr Kumar. I saw so many testimonies about him. I was delighted and i contacted him on his email and told him what was going on. He laughed and assured me to calm down that he will help me and that my ex will come back begging me. He did his work and cast the spell for me and in 3 days time, my ex came apologizing just as he told me. Today we both live together and we are even more in love than how we use to be before he left. Contact the Great Dr Kumar for your own help. You can contact him on: firstname.lastname@example.org and his website is:
When a candidate who gets significantly fewer votes is the "winner", and the candidate who gets the MOST votes is the "loser" there is only one conclusion any objective observer can make, and that is that the current President was elected by a MINORITY of voters.
The voters whose candidate got the MOST votes have not gone away, and are not now somehow magically "a minority". This particular twig of legitimacy to which Trump supporters cling is being greatly strained under the weight of their own denial.
Unfortunately, we ALL now labor under the fact that the ONLY office that represents ALL Americans is NOT elected by a democratic vote of all Americans. Having happened twice in this young century, I'm of the notion that combined with voter suppression efforts and successful gerrymandering, our democracy is diminishing to the point of extinction. The insanity is that nobody is doing anything to fix this bizarre condition, and the minority, like Mr. Marshall here, continues to smugly gloat about it.
Another day, another piece of proof that Doug Lamborn is a stinking coward.
It's a decent idea, full of typical wide-eyed wonderment. These great ideas, and mine, require buckets of "free" money from taxpayers elsewhere. That's the real game in America, getting someone ELSE to pay for what you want; our Federal budget has money and tax loopholes for every vested interest on earth.
Perhaps a better idea is to rearrange the access roads around Falcon Stadium to isolate and keep the stadium outside of the security perimeter of the USAFA so it may be accessed without the security hassles. Throw in an off ramp from the Interquest Parkway exit of I-25 that can be open for events to gain better access on game days. Put a roof over Falcon Stadium and call it a done deal. But that won't happen if the Air Force has to pony up the money for any of this, see comment above about getting free money.
In a state that rejected hosting an Olympic Games, ultra conservative and ultra cheap Colorado Springs isn't about to 'spring' for a damned thing, especially with TABOR still on the books.
If private money wants to do all these things, fine, have at it, but when developers and pols talk about 'free enterprise' what they mean is free money from taxpayers suckered yet again.
P.P.S. Essay to contend with the facts I cite and my argument, should you disagree.
Ralph, I am not a supporter of the downtown stadium, for a number of reasons. Here is a link to a comprehensive article from the Fresno Bee, outlining the difficulties that Chuchancy Park; THEIR tax payer supported downtown stadium; has faced since it's inception. I think this is a useful case study with an eerily similiar situation to what the powers-that-be want to do here...
Nat, your claim above that "The Cole memo, issued in 2013 by then-Deputy AG James Cole, spells out guidance saying the DOJ won't enforce federal law against businesses that comply with their own state marijuana laws" is simply false; to the contrary, the Ogden and Cole memoranda indicate that the Department of Injustice may prosecute violations of the provisions of the Controlled Substances Act pertaining to cannabis anytime, anywhere, irrespective of the law enforcement priorities enumerated in the memoranda. See http://www.cpr.org/news/story/colorado-ag-… and my comment there -- there never was any kind of explicit endorsement or federal sanctioning of states regulating the sale of cannabis, no matter how many times boosters of the cannabis-industry, Collaborationist (Democratic) pols, or disengaged journalists suggest otherwise. Obama's personal, unstated policy permitted the existence of dispensaries and the regulated market in cannabis; the memoranda offer no protection from Sessions' prohibitionist agenda at all.
Clueless Gov. Hack re-felonized cannabis under State law and enthusiastically signed one piece of unconstitutional legislation after another to deal with the bugbear of cannabis -- now the idiot proposes "to defend the State's constitution"! He is not the man for the job, but as it happens, it is considered settled law that the federal Controlled Substances Act takes precedence over our Constitution and there is no defense short of insurrection or individual acts of resistance sure to result in arrest or death.
The future of cannabis in Colorado is that Jeff Sesssions is likely to act to close dispensaries soon, knocking a huge hole in the budget (since the State won't collect hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue it expected from cannabis this year) and simultaneously throwing thousands of low-wage workers out of employment -- the General Assembly of Idiots and Gov. Hack have no plan to deal with the consequences.
P.S. F*ck the Marijuana Industry Group!!! These bastards have openly opposed constitutional protections for the medicinal use of cannabis and their members never had a single political word to say to their customers, their only message to them in effect being "buy here". Since 2013, MIG stood by while the General Assembly and the rest of State government engaged in an orgy of reaction against passage of Amendment 64, enacting many statutes and regulations infringing or even contradicting constitutional protections for the use of cannabis; MIG cared only that its members be allowed to sell cannabis in dispensaries, not that the rights of all cannabis users were being trampled. I would not wish federal prosecution for cannabis on anyone, but the greedheads who raked in huge profits while failing to spend a single cent on politicizing Coloradans who use cannabis or fighting Prohibition in Colorado should be at the head of the line if anyone is prosecuted.
Not sure how this came into my news feed, but I hope this goes through. There are many good puppies at the animal shelter. Do you know that pure-bread is actually inbred. We used to think keeping human society pure was good too until our body parts started falling off. Youtube search "Adam ruins everything: truth about purebreds"
Wow..."It would need key leaders to buy in, embrace the potential and seize the opportunity."
We'd also need key leaders to steal about $1 billion from taxpayers....come to think if it, it may just be possible.
Mayor tax and spend.
Obviously Mayor Suthers does not live on Weaver Drive. The cracks (not pot holes) are so big that I almost twisted my leg on one once. And when driving, it is like a big bang on your shocks absorbers or struts every 20 to 30 feet. The cracks are so deep that once I noticed a sharp steel half ring that was a threat to people's tires, and I decided that the safest place for it was to drop it into one of the cracks.
How is this new police substation going to be paid for or staffed? Our PD is already at critical shortages with understaffing and response is non-existent to any non threatening crime or possible criminal behavior. Being told to fill out a report on line or to take probable stolen property abandoned in your neighborhood to the nearest substation is not public service. Unless you are being attacked or actually already dead - don't bother to call for help because CSPD won't come.
