Re: “Amalgam-nation

The absolute best choice to safely detox and remove mercury and all other heavy metals from the body is with the natural ingestable mineral called Clinoptilolite Zeolite. This type of zeolite is quite different and much better then all other mercury detox products and methods! This is because Zeolite has the unique ability to bond and bind onto the mercury and other heavy metals in your body and hold onto them all the way out of the body without re-releaseing any of these toxins back into the body to make people feel ill like other detox products do! NO Herxhimer Reactions With Zeolite! This Is Good News And Without Question The Best Mercury Detox Choice Period! For more information on this mercury detox do a search for the single word Zeolite.

Re: “Mourning along life's highway

I agree, the vast majority are not accidents, they are negligence. And it is really bothersome that several times a month we see in the news that someone died after being ejected or thrown around inside a vehicle because they were too selfish to put their seatbelt on. IMHO, deaths of people who are not buckled in should be treated as suicides and I firmly support the idea that life and health insurance should not have to pay out if the person was not wearing their seatbelt. And we really need to crack down on speeding and running red lights in Colorado Springs.

Re: “911 callers will get recorded message

The recording will come on after the caller hears just one or two rings.

Re: “City Council kills recreational-marijuana vote

What can I even say??? These guys are not listening to the voters and they are ignoring any facts. Val has been tip toeing around the feds despite a number of us (me as one of them) coming to see him and explaining that HE is the way we change/sway/redirect/move/ the fed at a local level. I'm so tired of them proving time and time again that our votes don't count. Do you know how many times I have told ppl to vote? that their vote counts, that it's important? and then the council rejects them. Great move guys. Proving you are on the side of the #gop.

Re: “911 callers will get recorded message

Perhaps the City Council should turn loose of the stranglehold they have on the city's budget and take the citizen's safety seriously. How many extra operators would it take, on a part time basis, to cover this demand? Is it worth the life of one of the citizens?

If you get a recording, a person will be more likely to say "The hell with it," and try to get the heart attack victim into a car to take them to the hospital, or perhaps they will end up shooting an aggressor instead of the cops being able to defuse the situation.

It's time the city leaders to come to grips with the reality, and look into ways to fund needed services. The 'No-tax' ideals of the GOP have been proven to cause more damage than good and they should realize that.

Re: “911 callers will get recorded message

Most of the problem stems from people calling 911 for non-emergency reasons. Unless someone's life is in danger, they should be calling the non-emergency number 444-7000, and in many cases should not be calling the police at all.

Write that down, folks. Program it in to your phone.

Don't call 911 because you saw a deer near Circle & Maizeland. Don't call 911 because your spouse didn't make what you wanted for dinner. Don't call 911 because you lost your TV remote. Don't call 911 because the cashier at Burger King messed up your order.

Some may laugh, but these kinds of calls happen all the time. In fact the majority of the calls received by 911 operators should never have been made to 911.

Don't bitch about the police when it is you or your neighbors/friends who are causing the problem.

Re: “A favorite summertime pesticide

keep eating your lab created chemicals, i'll chose to eat natural things.

what causes parkinsons again?? nobody knows for sure.

Rotenone first started being phased out a long time ago as a pesticide in organic farming... right???

Re: “City Council kills recreational-marijuana vote

The people have already voted and the problem is they didn't vote the way our almost all retired military city councilors wanted them to vote. Love it or hate it but recreational marijuana is not going away. It is sad to watch the totally dysfunctional form of municipal governance now being played out in our town. Neither the mayor or City Council are working for the good of Colorado Springs. In the end citizens are the ones being left out of the process.

Re: “A favorite summertime pesticide

"Natural" doesn't mean anything. Futhermore, since they're less effective than synthetic pesticides, it means that they have to use more of them. Ultimately everything has an upper limit of toxicity too. So it's possible that you could be ingesting a possible harmful dose of whatever pesticide they use. And ill effects can still happen.

Furthermore Rotenone is natural, rotenone has been linked to parkinsons in rats. It's listed as an approved organic pesticide.

To the Student Senate. Thank you for letting all the candidates speak. You're right about your students and community being informed about all the candidates.

Accept however incumbent Governor Hickenlooper and Candidate Bob Beauprez the darlings of the two party system that have blocked us from partisanship in their Debates.

Thank you from all the candidates...

Re: “Panel on infill development to be appointed

Why have we allowed, even demanded, that public officials make plans for private land? This is wrong. Public officials should be limited to making plans for public property only; with public input of course. I suspect the real reason for this initiative is to get more revenue; also wrong. One year, city officials decide to spend millions annexing the Banning-Lewis ranch and Jimmy Camp, the next year they do a 180 and want to increase density with infill. they have no credibility.

Re: “Natural delight

The "goats" are white and have small pointy horns. The sheep are the ones that blend in with their grey/brown coloring and they have the big impressive horns. A picture of the goat may be found at http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_MEDIA/… A picture of the sheep may be found at http://extras.mnginteractive.com/live/medi…

Hunts are strictly controlled and tags for either animals are very hard to get, for example last year there were approximately 9070 applications for tags for mountain goats in Colorado, but only about 206 tags were given and only about 149 hunters were successful.

For bighorn sheep, there were about 1644 applications for tags, only 12 were given, and only 11 were filled.

You would be far more outraged if hunters did not control the populations and the same situation that often occurs with white tail deer were to happen where as much as 75% of the year's fawns die of starvation or malnutrition due to exceeding the carrying capacity of the land.
