Indie Spirit Film Festival: You've been warned

Posted By on Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 1:34 PM

Last-minute warning: If you haven't picked up this past week's Indy (April 15-21), you better go get yourself a copy now. Tucked inside the issue is the official program guide for the 2010 Indie Spirit Film Festival and Thursday morning they'll disappear when the latest issue of the Indy hits news racks. Films start at noon on Friday, April 23, and run until late night Sunday, April 25. (OK, you might be able to find a spare program at CityRock, the festival headquarters... but no guarantees.)

This year the fest brings a wild assortment of 101 independent films (and approximately 75 filmmakers) to downtown Springs ranging from Run Granny Run!, a comic short featuring a geriatric foot race turned death match, to Zombie Girl: The Movie, a documentary about a 12-year-old filmmaking sensation and the two years she spent making a feature-length horror film.

And, not only are there films for every taste, there are festival passes for every budget.

Tickets: VIP pass/$100; 2-Day Pass (Sat.-Sun.)/$40; 10-Movie Punch Pass/$45; 6-Movie Punch Pass/$30; Single Tickets/$10
School’s Out Special: On Friday, students (through high school) get free admission to shows before 3 p.m. The films are unrated, so please use parental discretion. Pass holders receive priority for sold-out shows.

Read more about the fest in tomorrow's Indy and on this blog. Then purchase your passes and get festival details at
