MMJ state and bond application help

Posted By on Tue, Jul 20, 2010 at 3:14 PM

The Department of Revenue's medical marijuana enforcement website has a new note on its website concerning upcoming developments for MMJ center owners.

(Look for our interview with the Senior Director of Enforcement Matt Cook in this Thursday's Independent.)

On the bottom of page two, and Appendix A, there is a space for the local authority to sign and approve the application. This part DOES NOT need to be filled out before the application is turned in. The Medical Marijuana Enforcement Divison, during its review, will take the application to the Local Authority for its completion of this portion at the appropriate time. The Division requests that each applicant take a copy of the completed business application to their Local Authority.

The Division will make available soon on its forms page a Bond form for applicants to complete the process of having a bond in place by July 1, 2011. Until then. applicants may note on the form that they will supplement the application with a good and sufficient bond when it becomes available.

The Division will provide classes that will review the application process and help answer questions that you may have. These classes are scheduled to begin Wednesday, July 21. Classes will be held twice daily during the week through Thursday, July 29, at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and Saturday, July 24, at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. It is estimated that the class will take approximately 1 hour.

Currently these classes will only be offered at our office at 6200 Dahlia Street, Commerce City, Co 80022 at the Greyhound Track. We are currently exploring other venues outside of the Denver Area, However, availability at this late date may be difficult so we encourage participation at the currently scheduled events.
