Broken Bells get interactive

Posted By on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 3:20 PM

Music Monday: In case you missed it, Broken Bells — the collaboration between Brian Joseph Burton (Danger Mouse) and Shins frontman James Mercerwent live last week with what appears to be the world's first interactive video. Viewers can use their mouse to create blue lines (think of an Etch-A-Sketch in which the lines quickly fade like comet trails). While you're squiggling around, the video itself shows a black screen in which stars, figures and other stuff float toward you in what's supposed to be 3-D. (Not sure about this last claim.)

You can watch a promotional clip for the new "October" video below — and don't forget to read the Indy's interview with James Mercer here. (Thanks to Sarah White for letting us know about this.)
