False alarm about Oct. 13

Remember the guy who predicted we'd all be staring skyward as UFOs descended on the largest cities of the world on this ominous date?

It's not happening!

We told you a month ago about a former NORAD official, Stanley Fulham, who's written a book about it called Challenges of Change.

If the UFOs came, would they look like this?

The idea is that aliens have been traveling the universe for eons but haven't made a bid for control of Planet Earth, because they know people would freak out. But now, Planet Earthlings have so polluted and wasted the globe that the aliens have no choice but to try to help us save ourselves and the Earth.

The author says he served in the Air Force for years and later worked at a radar station for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, which is based at Peterson Air Force Base. While with NORAD, he came to know that the military has vast knowledge of alien beings.

For the past month, the web has been abuzz about this guy's prediction, and I've secretly been awaiting the day. I know a few people who swear they witnessed a UFO at some point in their lives, and I'd sort of like to see one, too.

I asked NORAD folks if there have been any sightings today, but haven't heard from them. John Cornelio at NORAD called back to say, "Much like last time, I really have nothing to add."

Meantime, all the UFO believers can take heart. Fulham has said if the visitation didn't happen on Oct. 13, it would happen sometime before the end of the year.

Be ready. It could still come to pass.
