Touching moments with a stranger

Remember when we would gather around Thanksgiving dinner at mom's house, and give thanks for living in a country where air travel was free from radiation and molestation under the threat of detention by an increasingly authoritarian government? Haha. Yes.

How the times have changed.

In two days, Teabaggers everywhere will join regular people to protest TSA's new security measures. This protest, which is calling for people to opt out of going through the full-body X-ray scanners could cause significant delays, as the pat downs are much more time-consuming. The 24th is one of the busiest travel days of the year, and any delay at all at security could have a significant impact.

"Just one or two recalcitrant passengers at an airport is all it takes to cause huge delays," said Paul Ruden, a spokesman for the American Society of Travel Agents, which has warned its more than 8,000 members about delays resulting from the body-scanner boycott. "It doesn't take much to mess things up anyway — especially if someone purposely tries to mess it up."

This is the first time I have seen so many people from across the political spectrum so angry about, well, anything. Maybe the proles will score a victory.
