Controversy at the state fair

Posted By on Thu, Aug 4, 2011 at 4:01 AM

It could be a tough case of "them's the rules," or a more serious accusation of censorship. But when the Pueblo artist who goes by The Poet Spiel learned that his installation was removed from the Colorado State Fair art exhibition before jurors had a chance to see it, sparks began to fly.

can we talk about sex? says Spiel, is a commentary about teenage sex myths and the rising teen pregnancy rates in Pueblo.
