Chuck Snow, Whichever Way the Wind Blows
The first half of this weeks' Reverb column is devoted to a new song released last week by Chuck Snow, and when you hear it, you'll understand why.

"Whichever Way the Wind Blows" is a profoundly moving ballad that was written and recorded at the height of the Waldo Canyon Fire. It's now available as a download from, with all proceeds going to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, which has taken in hundreds of pets during the course of this crisis.

Earlier today, KRCC posted a video of the song set to images of the fire by Brian Oller, whose work is no stranger to Indy readers.

Oller has also organized the Hope Photography Project, through which some of the best area photographers will donate their services to create new family portraits for those who lost precious photos in the fires. As evidenced by many of the first-person accounts in this week's Indy feature story "The Things We Left Behind," family photos are among the personal items that evacuees were most concered about losing.
