Name that baby

Posted By on Fri, Aug 10, 2012 at 1:03 PM

Peak Ranch Alpacas of Monument welcomed a new addition to its herd, a "cria" birthed by Prairie Fire. The male alpaca was born Aug. 8, 20 days overdue, but is healthy and happy at 21 pounds.

You can suggest a name for him; just post it on Peak Ranch's Facebook page. The winner will receive a $25 coupon to the ranch's boutique, which sells all kinds of goodies, alpaca-related — like wool clothing, blankets and teddy bears — and not, like goat-milk soap and lotion.

Name this critter.

My boyfriend thinks I'm not great at names, but if I gave it a shot, I'd go for something you'd name a person, 'cause it's hilarious. Eric? George? Van? (it's a family name!)
