SCAMP mystery project revealed

Posted By on Wed, Aug 15, 2012 at 2:08 PM

The parking garage at Bijou and Cascade is about to get a lot prettier.

The folks behind the Summer Community Art and Mural Program (SCAMP), the city's collaboration with Concrete Couch, announced yesterday that the eighth and final project of the season will be a mural on the backside of the city's garage. They intend to "provide pedestrians exiting the garage and using the alley with a more welcoming experience while progressing the vision behind the downtown Alley Arts Improvement Plan."

The SCAMP team, as we profiled in this week's Indy, has kept this last project a secret all summer. But like all the others, it's open to volunteers. See our story for more information and to sign up.
