Apparently, this sculpture, made by Marlene Whitt and Tena Cobb, was stolen from 2419 W. Colorado Ave. sometime after 10 p.m. on Sunday. It is slated to be auctioned off Oct. 12 as part of the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs' annual Butterflies and Friends fundraiser. According to event planner Rhonda Rickett, it's estimated to be worth as much as $4,000. Monies raised from the auction are donated to D11 schools for dental care and arts programming, with a special exception last year when stipends were given to small businesses along west Garden of the Gods Road damaged from the Waldo Canyon Fire.

Anyone with news of its whereabouts should contact the club at 574-1634 or
