For all you beer-drinking bike enthusiasts out there — alright, so the vast majority of people here — you can now sit back for a cold one while getting your bike tuned up. And, surprise, the Ivywild School is where it can happen.

Locally owned retail bike shop, Bicycle Experience, is now up and running its second location at the School. The full-service shop specializes in road, mountain and urban bikes as well as refurbished used bikes. Holding the official grand opening event on Friday, Dec. 6, handmade treats from The Old School Bakery, Bristol beer and bike giveaways galore will be a part of the celebration, held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

"Born and raised in the birthplace of BMX in Southern California," as a press release puts it, co-owner Bubba Hayes was an avid, national-title winning racer and later an owner of a moving company before signing onto Bicycle Experience.

"To be part of the Ivywild School project is very exciting,” says co-owner Todd Hood in a press release. “We’re very passionate about this neighborhood, which is why we now have two locations on this side of town. After 20 years in the Army, and spending four and a half years of my last seven years deployed, this adventure of being a bike shop owner has allowed my dream to come true."
