Bike Smut's stated purpose — an erotic, bicycle film festival — basically makes no sense. But maybe that's fine, since biking and sex are both kind of their own justification. (Especially if you combine the two.)

So take note: Bike Smut 8: Come Again is coming on a tour of the west, and to Colorado Springs for the first time.

"The only way to see the Bike Smut Film Festival is when it plays for a live audience," reads the event description. "The various artists' interpretations about what is great about sex and cycling are creative, clever, funny, and aware!

"Bike Smut has never been just a single person's vision, rather, a coalition of the horny bring this synthesis of transportation and sexuality to life."

That coalition of the horny is led and created by the self-described Reverend Phil, an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church whose bio says, "He has a long list of unusual arrests involving bicycles and nudity."

Poppy Cox, an artist and feminist, works as the event's creative director. "Miss Cox has worked as a stripper at the world’s only unionized, worker-owned cooperative peep-show, The Lusty Lady in San Francisco," reads her bio, which adds: "She recently made the move to pornography, directing and staring in her first film, Pedal to Pleasure this year."

Tickets to the Wednesday, Nov. 12 event at Voodoo Leatherworks are $1 to $10, for those 18 and up. The freaky cycling fun starts at 9:15 p.m.
