Sen. Owen Hill pops crow pose during yoga debate

In its own words, Senate Bill 186 "exempts yoga teacher training courses, program, and schools from the provisions of the Private Occupational Education Act of 1981." It's a hot topic, because, as reporter J. Adrian Stanley wrote in a recent story:
Tensions rose after the Colorado Division of Private Occupational Schools sent letters to more than 80 yoga studios that offer yoga teacher trainings. The letters explained that the studios may need to be approved by the division's board and pay fees because the state may consider them "occupational schools," which are regulated under a law that's been in place since the 1980s.
This bill changes that. It easily passed the Senate Appropriations Committee, but first passed the Senate Education Committee where Colorado Springs Sen. Owen Hill, a Republican with recent federal aspirations, showed his support by trotting out crow pose, as tweeted by Rep. Dan Pabon.

Namasté.
