As reported in today’s Reverb column, The Lumineers have confirmed that Colorado Springs musician Chuck Snow will be the featured guitarist on their track-for-track remake of The Replacements’ influential Let it Be album.

The Lo-Fi Cowboys frontman’s connection to the Denver hitmakers —who received international fame with their No. 1 single “Ho Hey” — may come as a surprise to Facebook followers who recall Snow’s disparaging remarks about the song following its 2012 release.

At the same time, Snow has frequently performed cover versions of Replacements songs during live shows, so his familiarity and enthusiasm for the Minneapolis alt-rock pioneers is well-known.
