Most school districts called classes off today, including Colorado Springs School District 11, and city and county offices are either delayed or closed.

As El Paso County spokesman Dave Rose says via email: "All El Paso County Administrative Offices, County Affiliated Agencies in the Citizens Service Center and El Paso and Teller County Combined Courts are CLOSED today."

City spokeswoman Jamie Fabos issued this advisory at 8:10 a.m.:
Due to continuing winter weather conditions, the delayed start for all non-essential City of Colorado Springs employees has been extended to 12 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015. All emergency responders and essential personnel are required to report to work on time.

We will continue to update the media and post current information on www.ColoradoSprings.gov.
The city also sent a notice saying the storm led officials to cancel tonight's Monument Creek Watershed Restoration Open House, but the Wednesday night open house is still scheduled to take place at Discovery Canyon Campus from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Discovery Canyon Campus, 1810 North Gate Blvd.

The Regional Business Alliance also cancelled its "business connects" event for today.

You get the idea. Before charging out the door, make sure the event you're heading for is still happening.
