The debut of Venue32

Posted By on Fri, Jun 3, 2016 at 12:50 PM

Recently in Side Dish, we've chronicled Motif's move and the creation of Venue32 in its former space

Thursday night, Venue32 hosted a preview, during which chef Andrew Darrigan and his wife Heather, co-owner of Food Designers Catering, spotlighted the newly renovated event facility and excellent food and drink samples.

Light, polished woods, including panels built into the walls, brighten what was once a darker jazz bar. And furnishings are otherwise modular, with customizable settings provided by partnering agency Colorado Party Rentals (who happen to be hosting its own open house at 3960 Sinton Road from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 7). For last night's affair, CPR set up wine barrels turned into mingle tables inside, and long burn-wood picnic tables on the patio, for an overall rustic theme.

Venue32 has also partnered with other "preferred vendors" on the eats, in an arrangement not unlike what's been going on at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center in recent years. So not only will Food Designers' eats fill out party trays, but so will Summit Catering and Cravings/Buffalo Gals/Picnic Basket's creations. Venue32 will run its own bar at events though, and they'll be recommending Laster Sound for audio needs.
