It really isn't every day you get to go hear a real live Beatle — let along a freshly knighted one — so Sir Ringo Starr’s newly announced gig at the Paramount Theatre should be of considerable interest to Fab Four fanatics.

This summer’s tour will feature an “All Starr band” that includes Men at Work’s Colin Hay, Toto’s Steve Lukather, Santana and Journey veteran Gregg Rolie, 10cc’s Graham Gouldman and others.

Per usual, the assembled musicians will take turns stepping up to the mic to perform some of their best-known songs with the rest of the band backing them up.

In other nostalgia-inducing news, the same venue has booked the Goo Goo Dolls, who will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough Dizzy Up the Girl with a full-album performance.
