Meow Wolf, the badass arts collective known for its DYI success and extraordinary installations, is back at it again with another round of its DIY Fund.

What is this Fund, you ask? It is an initiative to get DIY spaces all across the country funding to keep their spaces sustainable and in business.

The Fund is a direct response to the grisly fire of Oakland, CA’s Ghost Ship DIY space in 2016. The devastation of the fire at the space initiated a witch hunt, which forced Rhinoceropolis and Glob in Denver and the Spring's own Flux Capacitor to shutter their doors, and sent inhabitants into the streets for not being up to fire and safety codes.

The Flux has since found a sustainable model with the help of PPLD, but many DIY venues still struggle to find and maintain footing.  Meow Wolf, which recently announced a massive Denver installation, has been a DIY space since 2008 and may not have survived if it wasn’t for the backing of passionate investors and community members. So now they’re continuing to pay it forward in a big way.

If you’re a venue, performance space, art installation, or any creative endeavor, now is your chance to apply for a piece of the $250,000 pie. Application deadline is September 30, 2018.
