As much as the Internet is still hyped as the great equalizer when it comes to giving artists unlimited access to a widely distributed audience, the sad fact is that the musicians whose work goes viral are precious and few. So it’s always gratifying to see Colorado Springs area acts breaking through the digital ceiling.

Mike Clark did just that with his “Hey Daisy” video, which featured him riding his bike down Tejon Street while strumming and singing his catchy indie-folk original. He released it way back in 2011, after which it earned the Haunted Windchimes member some 50,000 clicks from viewers with discerning taste in music and, presumably, hands-free bicycling.

Now comes Bullhead*ded’s “Sorry for the Bad Dancing" single, which was released in conjunction with their new Boiled Bones album. The accompanying video just surpassed 50,000 hits, a first for the long-running Colorado Springs hip-hop collective.
