In-N-Out Burger is one of those burger chains that people flock to when they're in California (or Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Texas or Utah) and freak out about.
We don't tend to cover much corporate food news here, but we're well aware of the brand's popularity, and media statewide has jumped on the news of an In-N-Out location set for the Victory Ridge development in Colorado Springs, on the north side.

Holy Animal Sauce! declares Westword. While Denver's Fox31 notes a "cult-type" following for the burger spot.

No opening date's yet been announced, but here's what's know from a press release:

Westside Investment Partners, Inc. is proud to confirm that In-N-Out Burger, a California-based hamburger establishment with a loyal following, is currently under contract to purchase land at the Victory Ridge mixed-use development located in north Colorado Springs. The purchase will mark the hamburger chain’s first land acquisition in the Colorado market.

Current plans call for the development of In-N-Out Burger distribution facility and office building on a 22.4-acre parcel to support future growth in Colorado. Additionally, early plans show the establishment of an In-N-Out Burger restaurant at the primary corner of the Victory Ridge development at Interquest Parkway and Voyager Parkway.

Completion of the regional facility will require due process with City development standards. At this point no timeline is established for the initial opening date, with the contract with Westside representing the first step towards bringing the In-N-Out Burger brand to Coloradoans.

Andrew Klein, a Principal with Westside affirms, “We have been in discussions with a number of parties regarding an anchor tenant that can further our belief that Victory Ridge is the premier mixed-use development in the north Colorado Springs market. The prospect of In-N-Out coming to the site confirms that belief, and we cannot be more excited to welcome this user to our project.”

Victory Ridge is a 153-acre mixed-use development one-half mile east of the Interstate 25 and Interquest Parkway interchange, and will include up to 1.6 million square feet of commercial development, as well as residential and civic uses. Over 500 residences are currently planned, and the Field of Dreams regional sports complex has plans to occupy approximately 50 acres at the development. The development enjoys views over the entire United States Air Force Academy, and is 15 miles from downtown Colorado Springs, and 45 minutes south of the Denver market.

Westside Principal Otis Moore adds, “We purchased the Victory Ridge property in late 2016, knowing that this was one of the premier remaining development sites in north Colorado Springs. The interest from In-N-Out has only confirmed that belief. Westside counts itself amongst the devout followers of this iconic hamburger establishment, and we look forward to this creating more opportunities for this development that is serving an unmet demand for unique offerings in the north Colorado Springs market.”
