Colorado Experience: Cheers to Beers screening, Sept. 12, happy hour at 5 p.m., screening at 6, Ivywild School, 1604 S. Cascade Ave.,
The true “Colorado experience” isn’t complete without a mountain view and a cold beer. Rocky Mountain PBS, producers of the Colorado Experience documentary series, recognize that beer has influenced the cultural landscape of Colorado from its role sustaining miners in the 1800s to its current use: giving hipsters a reason to quit their day job and open a craft brewery. (I’m kidding.) In honor of beer’s legacy and lasting cultural impact, the “Cheers to Beers” episode of Colorado Experience traces the beverage’s history in Colorado. It will air on Rocky Mountain PBS on the 27th, but to get a sneak peek at the episode, all you have to do is head to Bristol Brewing Company at the Ivywild School for a special preview screening and happy hour. The first 100 people to register get a commemorative glass and a ticket for a free drink. Seating is limited, so be sure to RSVP.
