Mayor John Suthers spent the most of any candidate in the April 2 city election to win a second term: about $151,000. His final campaign finance report, through April 27, shows he has $84,855 on hand.

Challengers John Pitchford, Juliette Parker and Lawrence Martinez hadn’t filed final reports, due May 2, by the Indy’s press time. Nor had Citizens Against Public Employee Unions, which worked to defeat a firefighters collective bargaining measure, which lost.

Firefighters for a Safer Colorado Springs, which supported the measure, spent $595,088 and has $78,080 left over.

Wayne Williams and Tom Strand raised the most money among 11 vying for at-large seats on City Council, and both won. Williams raised $61,352 and has $3,053 left, while Strand, who captured a second term, raised $41,351 and has $1,887 remaining.

The third at-large seat winner, Bill Murray raised $3,100 and spent it all.
