City Council was expected to approve a request to disperse $3.2 million from the Public Safety Sales Tax fund to three projects, as follows: $1.05 million for the city's share of a new firing range to be built south of Colorado Springs ("Law officers look for new facility to replace damaged PPCC shooting range," April 20); $1.3 million for Fire Station 1 renovation ("City's 91-year-old downtown Station 1 gets an overhaul," May 18), and $850,000 for the new Sand Creek police substation design and construction.
