68th Anniversary Pearl Harbor Observance

When: Mon., Dec. 7, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. 2009
Phone: 635-8803

If all you know about the attack on Pearl Harbor is based on the critically lambasted 2001 film, then please, forget everything: The "Inaccuracies" section on Wikipedia is longer than the rest of the article combined. For some real truth and recognition, attend the 68th Anniversary Pearl Harbor Observance from 11 a.m. to noon at the Veterans Memorial in Memorial Park (1605 E. Pikes Peak Ave., 635-8803). The event, sponsored by the Colorado Springs chapter of the Navy League of the United States, will include a speech by Marine Brig. Michael Dana, a wreath-laying ceremony, flag presentations and fly-bys. — Bryce Crawford
