Re: “Local law enforcement laments legal marijuana after busting illegal grows

It's always been easy street for a cop to catch someone with weed-it smells!. Easy peasy. Detecting hard drugs making those kinds of busts- my Lord that takes time and BRAINS to stop the flow of meth heroin and cocaine. You are making it way harder for those doggies to get their DEA biscuits. That's one reason they way over-value the busts now. They should have to value at what cannabis is going for currently wholesale in the state. and that without the dirt the pots and the tree trunk parts. But that might take all the fun out of it. As well as their "destruction methods" are so over the top for weed. Just pour round-up all over it -and bag it up in locked dumpsters in a locked area. IT can get buried at the landfill. They are riding the green pony backward for all its worth. But it's not an experiment and it's not going away. Many other states have legalized and for rec as well..IF anything deserves the current rating the government gives cannabis it should be ALCOHOL. BUTTTT,, remember why they took that back out of Prohibition....$$$$$$$$$

Re: “Pueblo's marijuana museum fizzles

This woman needs help for her own personal issues and needs to stop pushing them on a community than promotes health. Aubree, I hope someday you find your path and happiness. Battling dispensaries isn't going to get you anywhere.

Re: “Mothers of autistic children devastated by Hickenlooper’s marijuana veto

What about letting parents use the non-"high" type of pot (marijuana), that has no THC in it, but still has the healing CBD in it? Also, how about recognizing VACCINES as being one major cause of autism, and NEVER "forcing" parents to have their children (babies included) vaccinated? There are also many nurses who want to avoid being vaccinated , but would lose their jobs if they refuse being vaccinated. There's a good group called NVIC (National Vaccine Information Center) that helps parents whose children were damaged by adverse (bad) side effects of vaccines, including autism, seizures, etc.

Re: “Mothers of autistic children devastated by Hickenlooper’s marijuana veto

Very disappointing that Gov. Hickenlooper, the beer magnate, has vetoed so many cannabis bills that have been thru the legislative process. This was his third this year. Hick should have trusted the Legislature they Arent in the beer business and appear to be more enlightened. Legislators heard testimony and discussed these bills for hours on end. Afterwards they approved them, both Democrats and Republicans, on majority votes, even inserting amendments to address what they saw as deficiencies. Its unfortunate that so many advocates like these mothers and so many elected officials put all this effort into passing these bills, just to have them struck down by a governor with a personal bias against cannabis. He appears to be unwilling to stand up to Jeff Sessions......

Re: “Local law enforcement laments legal marijuana after busting illegal grows

Commenters do not appear to be any more eloquent than those in the article and closer to theater of the absurd. Government is showing signs that their facade is crumbling. Too many lies are too much to remember. "No comment" should be used from now on.
The predictions by all are specious at best and considering they all are influenced by 100 years of misinformation the next 100 will not be much different.
And- "old farts"? "white men.. for now"? "popo"? Really you guys?

Re: “Local law enforcement laments legal marijuana after busting illegal grows

Glad to see CSI calling out El Paso Co. law enforcement for claims they aren't substantiating. Coloradans voted in favor of legalization, and that's what we have. Colorado is great, but El Paso Co. is still run by conservative white men...for now.

Re: “Hickenlooper vetoes marijuana "tasting rooms" consumption bill

Too bad our Governor, the Brewmeister, chooses not to support marijuana as much as he does beer. Guess he wants tourists to drink his brews, but not consume the green. If they do, they risk getting a ticket, as CO continues fighting the War on Drugs, even after legalization by state voters. Regulate marijuana like alcohol? Thats a sad joke. When was the last time you ever heard a political leader take a stand against bars and restaurants serving alcohol because some patrons might consume too much? Thats right, never. Drunkenness is accepted and even condoned, and we rely on police to enforce those laws. We do not try to close down bars and breweries like Hickenlooper has done with marijuana tasting rooms.
I am so ready for a new Democratic governor whos more enlightened on marijuana and more supportive of the voters wishes. Hickenlooper for National Brewmeister in 2020!

Re: “Hickenlooper vetoes marijuana "tasting rooms" consumption bill

gotta agree with him on this..i mean people are too stupid for that one. they will drive having "sampled" and that would be illegal. however they do need to make it legal to smoke outside on private property.

Re: “Cannabis bills get mixed reception from Legislature

I'm confused. The bill that lets folks get high at the store and drive home (HB1258) is more favorable than the one that lets folks stay home and get high (HB1092)?

Re: “Gazette attacks legal cannabis industry ... again

Edward Bernays would be so proud of himself that his propaganda tactics are still in affect today, nearly a century after they were first executed.
