Incestuous. Pretty weirdo thing to say...

Re: “Chris Isaak, Black P and Leftover Salmon book Springs dates

I would love to see Leftover Salmon, but at the Broadmoor? Oh no, no, no, cannot attend events there or patronize the Broadmoor in any way, they are destroying Colorado Springs with their greedy ways......

Re: “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame calls for fans to choose among 15 finalists

Umm Cleveland rocked last year and it will again in 2019 and in 2021, and 2023...and so on. That's because the hall of fame rotates their induction ceremony every other year between Cleveland and New York. Something you would have known if you had put even a passing attempt at research in for this article. But yet it's something you clearly did not as you made a joke that obviously indicated your lack of understanding in how or where the induction ceremonies are held each year "So much for that Cleveland rocks thing". If you had known that fact and you were a good journalist then you would have thought to include the fact that the ceremony ping pongs each year back and forth between Gotham and Brownsville to help educate the reader to the somewhat lesser known fact(So much for that not phoning this article in concept.)

Maybe you should talk about CS going-ons rather than recycle lame lefty talking points found on mainstream media.

I would LOVE for this to be successful. Wondering where 700 people will park when they go catch a show?

Re: “The Side Door music space makes its low-key debut in former Blue Star spot

Music coming soon to some place not quite open... fun has been delayed but promised at a later date.
Colorado Springs has always in my experience been a fairly miserable place for live music and its getting worse than ever. Obviously the wanting to book acts that would play Denver means there is really no local musicians that can hold anyone's interest. And starting at 7PM and done at 11 is for schoolkids. Now we also have most bars closing at 12 or earlier, no smoking, poorly trained bartenders, karaoke listed as live music, cliquish open mics, rehearsed "jam sessions" but really no live music except Friday and Saturday except for the odd late afternoon last minute drum circles. I laughed awhile back reading here how some developer wanted to make this town another Austin Texas! What? 200 bands a night every night all over the city?! And the ballpark downtown too...you are what you is and ain't what you're not...

Re: “Woodshed Red's equipment trailer was stolen and they're asking for your help

Offer a cash reward for its return with stipulation that the info must go through police department. Thieves will roll over on each other for cash faster than they can steal a trailer.
Make the reward worth the trouble- $1000.00
Lots of trailers are being stolen and that is along with vehicles and metals. It is an indication of the job growth here which the Indy keeps saying is just swell. yeah, right
What instruments are gone so we know when one is being offered to us...

Re: “Woodshed Red's equipment trailer was stolen and they're asking for your help

Was it secured; or was it sitting there just waiting to be rolled away? This stuff sucks but at some point in time a rural western band just might need to know better.. :/

Re: “Independent Records downtown store closes, but all is not lost

I love browsing at Independent Records.

Some time ago, I was looking for a VHS version of "The Last Temptation of Christ." I knew it was in their library, but couldn't find on the shelf. Went through every tape in the "L" section. I asked a very helpful guy behind the counter whether he knew if it was in the store or rented out. He looked it up and said it should be on the shelf.

He found it for me. It was in the "T" section. "T" for "THE Last Temptation of Christ."

No wonder I couldn't find it.

His comment to me was: "We're not real big on alphabetical order here."

How can you not love a shop that resists order? Even alphabetical order. Independent Records is a Colorado Springs institution. Sorry to see the downtown store close.

Re: “Independent Records downtown store closes, but all is not lost

Not surprising, as most downtowns are nothing but bars and restaurants nowadays as they are the only places that generate enough revenue to afford the sky-high rents.

Re: “Pop-star holograms replicating at alarming rate

Why does everybody use the same ancient concert footage for Miku? That's literally one of her very first appearances on stage.

To see what a modern Miku concert looks like, search for Magical Mirai 2017 or 2016.

We are truly grateful for the recognition by the band. Our family team works daily to offer the best of the Island here in the Springs. We love our community and our patrons. We're thankful for their continued support. We also send 'One love" to the band for feturing our restaurant as part of their show. We are so grateful. Thank you

Re: “2018 Record Store Day announces exclusive offerings

Christ on a crutch Bill. You cant even stay on task long enough to announce something as innocuous as record store day without injecting personal political opinions? When did exercising free speech become worthy of a dishonorable mention? Break free from your group-think influenced dogma and try and be an objective journalist. Just out of curiosity, were you even old enough to vote in 2000?
