Re: “Sacred Grounds Coffee in the Canyon

Oh myAMAZING (and I do not use that word to describe muchat all!). Let me set the scene for you of our first impressions of this little gem. I was on vacation with my sister (first one ever!). All we had in mind for this trip was coffee, hiking, food and relaxation. On our way to the 7 Bridges trail, we saw this quaint looking caf on the side of the road. A quick passing glimpse gave us a good impression and we were anxious to check it out after our hike. Fast forward past our awesome hike and we were on the road again heading back to Sacred Grounds. To our surprise, the place was now glowing with soft strings of lights and had live acoustic music being played on the outdoor patio. The setting could not be more perfect, but the awesomeness was only just beginning. Zack stopped by our table to tell us the dinner options (no menujust a few choice selections). HmmmRussian potato cakes.those sound differentlets try them. While waiting for our entre, I decided to check out the inside. On my way, I passed a table of locals (you 3 know who you are, but we will keep you anonymous) and couldnt help but notice what looked like an awesome dinner option as well: Fiouchi. I asked Zack to add one of those to our order. There needs to be a drum roll here or something because these two entrees were nothing short of perfect in their presentation when they arrived. They passed the appearance test with flying colors, but what about the taste test? Let me just tell you.AMAZING!!!! The combination of flavors in both dishes far exceeded our wildest expectations!!! So much so that when we were both chewing our last bite of fiouchi (happened to be at the same time), I said to my sister...this is so good that I am still chewing my bite because I dont want the tastes to come to an endto which she saidME TOO!!!!! It is important to note at this moment that we both live in the Chicago area, so believe me when I tell you there is no shortage of fine food where we come from, so when we both say that Sacred Grounds could easily stand their ground (did you like that pun Zack???) among the best in Chicago, you can believe it. As the evening slowed and turned to soothing cocktails, coffee and hot chocolate, the owner (and chef), Natasha, came out from behind the swinging door to check in on everyone. She had such a happy and wonderful energy about herwe just loved her. We told her how positively amazing her creations were and that we would be back every night of our vacation for dinner.and we were!!!! We also had lunch there and stopped for provisions to bring with us on our hike too! This place is an absolute must for anyone looking for the best place in Colorado Springs. Next time I am in town, I am going to try to make sure I am in walking distance so I can go there for every meal. Now that we are back in the Chicago area, my sister and I are constantly saying that common saying of The Mountains are calling and I must go, but I think I am going to adapt the saying to say: The Grounds are calling and I must go! When you stop by, please tell Natasha and Zack that The Sisters say hello!

Re: “Colorado Coffee Merchants

I honestly think there coffee is the best not just because I used to work there but because Eric takes the time and consideration for the best tasting coffee and when that thing is running the customers loved the sound and smell I did I would always ask questions and it opened up my view of coffee making it was like you always knew it was fresh.

Re: “Colorado Coffee Merchants

I having bought my espresso beans from Eric and his staff for years. The coffee is extremely fresh, typically roasted with days of purchase. It produce sweet, complex espresso with loads of crema. The staff are consistently welcoming and pleasant.they also make delicious drinks for in-house consumption.

Re: “Kairos Coffee and Tea

Rek Lee What evidence do have to prove "homeless" and "drug addict"? I could say that about you right here very easily, may be true, may be false, who knows? And what did you do when told you were not welcome? Anything? Or just post this comment?

Re: “Sacred Grounds Coffee in the Canyon

Everyone ….please note the dates that these reviews were posted!
This delightful little neighborhood cafe and coffee house has changed ownership in the last two years and deserves a fair shot at a new start! We have been there at least three times and have enjoyed each visit. The owner is a very pleasant woman and her staff is kind, efficient, helpful and very adept at making your time there pleasant and memorable.
Please treat yourself and give them a try! It is very enjoyable and relaxing.

Re: “Coyote's Coffee Den

Fremont County's best coffee! I love the service and the owners are great! I chose to pay more for a cup of coffee at the Coyote Coffee Den rather than the local gas station! The Breakfast Burritos are the best in the County also!

Cool little hangout! Great coffee and staff. Very friendly. Cool Friday running "club". Reduced priced coffee after a run...not too shabby!

Re: “Stir Coffee and Cocktails

Cool, hip coffee shop that's a wonderful alternative to you know who.

Coffee is great. My pecan pie was right out of the oven, warm, sweet and gooey.

Order at counter, take your selection to a table. Outside seating too. Not pricey.

Yard sale coffee cups and flatware, funky old metal lawn chairs from the 1940s, in a renovated gas station ... recycling and re-purposing at its best.

Girl at the counter was friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Free Wi-Fi and parking.

In the Old North End Neighborhood (ONEN), in the BON Shopping Center, at corner of Jackson and Wahsatch, a few blocks from Penrose Hospital just off N. Nevada Ave.

Closes at 3PM most days. I'll be going back.

Re: “Cafe 225 Coffee Shop and Venue

new, clean, and warm inside. I ordered a vanilla latte which was steamed by the barista, not a machine, which I prefer. They have a conference room for rent which I plan to use for casual meetings with new clients. I would recommend this cafe to friends.

Re: “SwitchBack Coffee Roasters

I had lunch at Fifty Fifty Coffee House last month. The Pressed Turkey Sandwich was delicious and the Fifty Fifty Iced Coffee is addictive (I had 2). The service was also great, and I loved the atmosphere. I will be back.

Re: “The Upper Room Coffee

Quaint "old victorian" shop with great people and a great vibe. Used to be Firehouse BBQ, located in a renovated turn of the century fire station on Colorado Blvd. just off of 8th street. Conveniently located just outside of downtown Colorado Springs; 2 blocks or so from I-25 just west of 8th Street.

Feels a lot like a neighborhood hang-out. Great place to watch the game, read a book, have a conversation, or just take some down time.

Jeff and Caryn Andrews are the owners and are usually there meeting people and making them feel like family. I highly recommend this place as a "must visit" for locals and guests.
