Re: “Sacred Grounds Coffee in the Canyon

Oh myAMAZING (and I do not use that word to describe muchat all!). Let me set the scene for you of our first impressions of this little gem. I was on vacation with my sister (first one ever!). All we had in mind for this trip was coffee, hiking, food and relaxation. On our way to the 7 Bridges trail, we saw this quaint looking caf on the side of the road. A quick passing glimpse gave us a good impression and we were anxious to check it out after our hike. Fast forward past our awesome hike and we were on the road again heading back to Sacred Grounds. To our surprise, the place was now glowing with soft strings of lights and had live acoustic music being played on the outdoor patio. The setting could not be more perfect, but the awesomeness was only just beginning. Zack stopped by our table to tell us the dinner options (no menujust a few choice selections). HmmmRussian potato cakes.those sound differentlets try them. While waiting for our entre, I decided to check out the inside. On my way, I passed a table of locals (you 3 know who you are, but we will keep you anonymous) and couldnt help but notice what looked like an awesome dinner option as well: Fiouchi. I asked Zack to add one of those to our order. There needs to be a drum roll here or something because these two entrees were nothing short of perfect in their presentation when they arrived. They passed the appearance test with flying colors, but what about the taste test? Let me just tell you.AMAZING!!!! The combination of flavors in both dishes far exceeded our wildest expectations!!! So much so that when we were both chewing our last bite of fiouchi (happened to be at the same time), I said to my sister...this is so good that I am still chewing my bite because I dont want the tastes to come to an endto which she saidME TOO!!!!! It is important to note at this moment that we both live in the Chicago area, so believe me when I tell you there is no shortage of fine food where we come from, so when we both say that Sacred Grounds could easily stand their ground (did you like that pun Zack???) among the best in Chicago, you can believe it. As the evening slowed and turned to soothing cocktails, coffee and hot chocolate, the owner (and chef), Natasha, came out from behind the swinging door to check in on everyone. She had such a happy and wonderful energy about herwe just loved her. We told her how positively amazing her creations were and that we would be back every night of our vacation for dinner.and we were!!!! We also had lunch there and stopped for provisions to bring with us on our hike too! This place is an absolute must for anyone looking for the best place in Colorado Springs. Next time I am in town, I am going to try to make sure I am in walking distance so I can go there for every meal. Now that we are back in the Chicago area, my sister and I are constantly saying that common saying of The Mountains are calling and I must go, but I think I am going to adapt the saying to say: The Grounds are calling and I must go! When you stop by, please tell Natasha and Zack that The Sisters say hello!

Re: “Shri Ganesh

I've have been to every Indian resturant in town and this is by far the best! No watered down curry sauces. Everything is full of favor. They actually give you the right proportion of meat verses sauce. Everyone is super friendly and goes the extra mile to make sure your satisfied. Lunch buffet changes daily with different items. Very clean, unlike a few other places I've been too. I saw some people walk in 2 mintues before lunch service closed and they willing, with arms open and smiling, still seated them and the whole 9 yards. Now that's great customer service. Won't go anywhere else now.

Re: “Colorado Coffee Merchants

I honestly think there coffee is the best not just because I used to work there but because Eric takes the time and consideration for the best tasting coffee and when that thing is running the customers loved the sound and smell I did I would always ask questions and it opened up my view of coffee making it was like you always knew it was fresh.

Re: “Icing on the Cake

The occasion was my daughter's adoption party so we needed cakes. First time order from Icing on the Cake and chose two cakes. Both were equally DELICIOUS!!! This was not only my opinion but the opinions of the 40 plus family members. Chocolate and carrot cakes were our choice and have to say, hands down, the best carrot cake I've ever eaten!
Thank you so much for providing exactly what we ordered for our event, Mischa! Yourself and team, definitely have a talent! We were all very pleased!!!

Re: “Carniceria Fruiteria El Ranchito

Best tacos in Colorado Springs at nearly the best price$1.49. Don't miss the refrigerated buffet with its host of salsas and sides, such as roasted peppers and sliced radishes. The carnitas tacos are wonderful, but there are plenty of other choices.

The tostadas at $2.99 include beans and your choice of meat as well as avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, and Mexcian cheese.

Place is inside a Mexican grocery. The sign is on a post near the street. There is not a noticeable sign saying El Ranchito on the building.

Re: “Mother Muff's Kitchen & Spirits

Couldn't disagree more with the review. The critic must be some elitist arse, who'd be better off reviewing obscure restaurants with square plates or butcher's paper for a plate. Anyway, the three or four times I've eaten at Mother Muffs, the food has been great. Just what you'd expect after reading the menu. I've had BLT, fried raviolis, cheese sticks, and a burger. All were tasty. Service has been great. Prices are decent! Nice atmosphere in the front room. Olde school, pub feel!

Re: “European Café

This is a hidden secret of Colorado Springs. The restaurant is located at 1015 W. Colorado now and the phone number is 632-6309. The food is some of the best in our city. They strive for quality and freshness. Everything is homemade. My favorite restaurant.

Re: “Briarhurst Manor Estate

My husband and I recently got married at The Briarhurst Manor and all I can say is WOW!!! We are speechless. We found this venue over the internet. The reviews were pretty good and so much was included so we booked it without seeing it. We live in Florida so when we had a chance we came out to do cake tasting and so on and omg this place is beautiful. The food is to die for. We eneded up having our rehearsal dinner here also in the Palmer Room!!! The price is so reasonable... Not even fair actually compaired to the service and food. There were even deer hanging around during the wedding. Our planner Allison.... Im really not sure there are words to describe how amazing she was. I still tear up thinking about her and everytime i turned around, she was always there to make sure my family and our guests were happy. We were so nervous and Allison just made it happen. Our wedding was so intimate, and beautiful. We truly couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding. Allison felt like part of the family. She def. Outdid herself. I would reccommend Allison and the Briarhurst Manor ten times over. The staff was also so attentive and amazing, even patient when dealing with drunkin guests. We cant thank you enough. From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you. We cant wait to come back for our anniversary every year. This is the nost beautiful venue with amazing people👍😊

Re: “Arabian Nights Cafe

I was driving all day yesterday and didn't have time to prepare food so I was going to settle for a veggie sub at Subway. When I pulled in to the parking lot, I noticed Arabian Nights Cafe in front of me. I went on my phone and looked at the reviews and decided I just had to try the falafel over going to Subway. WOW! So glad I chose to try it. It was the best falafel I have ever eaten! Very friendly service and I was given a cup of tea while I waited for my falafel. The tea was amazing too! Absolute perfection!!! I will be coming back until I have experienced everything this place has to offer. AMAZING!

Re: “Over Easy - Tejon St.

Reminds me of deep-in-the-city eateries I frequented on the east and west coasts - but the food is a lot better. I never saw disorganization, just crowded. One mistake, and they fixed it. Go there. Huevos Rancheros. Go there.
